EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES By the end of the course, participants will be able to: Critically evaluate new endoscopic techniques and advances in EUS in the management of liver, bile duct and pancreatic neoplasms. treatments and surgery for side branch and main duct IPMN. Assess the importance and utility of genetic screening in the management for pancreatic neoplasms. Compare and contrast the roles of regional therapies, transplantation and surgical resection in the treatment of hepatoma. Assess the potential impact of new treatments for chronic hepatitis in the prevention of hepatocellular carcinoma. and pancreatic neoplasms. Assess the role of minimally invasive surgery for liver, bile duct and pancreatic neoplasms. Apply best practice strategies for the use of new chemotherapy agents in the management of liver, bile duct and pancreatic neoplasms. Evaluate the advances in the medical and surgical treatment of locally advanced and borderline resectable pancreatic cancer. TARGET AUDIENCE medical oncologists, gastroenterologists and all allied health professionals who seek to enhance their understanding of liver, bile duct and pancreatic neoplasms and treatment options to optimize management of their patients.
