KOVICH Assistant Commissioner This statewide Substance Abuse Overview provides statistics on substance abuse treatment in New Jersey for calendar year 2014. In 2014 there were 65,553 treatment admissions and 62,525 discharges reported to the New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services by substance abuse treatment providers. These reports were submitted through the web-based New Jersey Substance Abuse Monitoring System (NJ- SAMS). A few changes in this report now include on Fee-For-Services admissions, Federal Poverty Level and discharge continuing care.
