introduction mission: Our mission is simple. as a church, we exist to reach those who do not know our lord Jesus Christ with the Gospel, to BuIlD devoted and equipped followers of Jesus, and to SEnD God s people into the world to serve with compassion and conviction. This desire is central to everything we do at river Oaks. we encourage you to welcome the people of the world who come here, befriend students attending community colleges and universities, reach out to refugees through ESl classes and resettlement ministry, and warmly host students in a foreign exchange program. we also encourage you to reach out to those less fortunate in our community. Getting Involved: Jesus called his disciples to be witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth (acts 1:8). while we are actively involved in spreading the Gospel to the most remote corners of the world, we also remain committed to reaching our Jerusalem the city of winston-salem. Through our partnership with these local ministries, we become the hands and feet of Jesus Christ to our community. we understand that looking for a local organization to get involved with can seem overwhelming. we encourage you to use the information on the following pages to learn more about the groups that we partner with to help make a redemptive impact in our community.
