L.B. IVF Clinic is providing each year hundreds of individualized ART services for patients from Israel and the entire world (USA, UK, Australia, France, Switzerland, Russia, Romania, Italy and many more). Our staff includes team of experienced embryologists, lab technicians, registered nurses with special ART educational orientation and adjective administrative assistants. Our current multinational collaboration project was founded over 14 years ago and ever since serves as a platform for many other ART specialists and collaborators from Israel and other parts of the world. This effective and fruitful multinational collaborative work is mainly attributed to our exclusive embryo culture device, a Portable CO2 Incubator, aimed at safe long distance transportation of fresh embryos. Cross border transportation of fresh embryos allows our patients to have their embryo replacement in situ at, home, rather than having long distance travels and high expenses. At L.B. IVF Clinic we are particularly proud of our long lasting IVF and egg donation program which over the years helped in bringing joy and happiness for many families and homes. Our team will provide you with all the personal support throughout the entire treatment. L.B. IVF Clinic provides In Vitro Fertilization treatments, egg donation and surrogacy services in Israel and in Ukraine by collaborating with the IVF Unit at ISIDA Hospital in Kiev, Ukraine, licensed by both the Israeli and the Ukrainian Ministries of Health.

The Leading Experts in the Field Directors of the L.B. IVF Clinic Prof. David Bider Obstetrics, Gynecology & Fertility Specialist Prof. David Bider graduated from the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University in 1980. Prof. David Bider specialized in general surgery at Wolfson Medical Center, and subsequently completed his residency in obstetrics, gynecology and fertility at Tel HaShomer Hospital. In 1989, he was accredited as an expert in these fields by the Israeli Health Ministry. In the years following his residency, Prof. Bider focused his work on fertility and human reproductive studies. He played a key role in developing a number of innovative new fertility treatment methods, and published many research papers and articles. These outstanding contributions to the field led to Tel Aviv University granting him the title of "professor" in 1999. Since his residency, Prof. Bider has also accumulated many years of experience at the IVF Units at Tel HaShomer Hospital, Assuta Medical Center in Ramat HaChayal, and the Herzliya Medical Center. In 2003, together with Prof. Levron, he established and developed the IVF Unit at ISIDA Hospital in Kiev, transforming it into Ukraine's leading unit for fertility and IVF treatments. Prof. Bider also branched out into the areas of egg donation and surrogacy, with the approval of the Ministry of Health and in collaboration with hospitals in Israel. Working alongside his colleague Prof. Levron, he founded a one-of-a-kind clinic for egg donation safely transporting the fresh embryos to many IVF centers in Israel.

Prof. Jacob Levron Obstetrics, Gynecology & Fertility Specialist Prof. Jacob Levron is one of Israel's leading specialists in reproductive medicine and assisted reproductive technologies from advanced methods for assisted procreation and fertilization to the practice of pre-implantation genetic diagnosis. The Leading Experts in the Field Prof. Levron is a graduate from The Technion School of Medicine in Haifa, Israel since 1982 (cum laude) and is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology (Rambam Medical Center, Haifa, Israel) since 1990. At the IVF center of Rambam Medical Center Prof. Levron pioneered new methods of assisted fertilization using micromanipulation and established the first pregnancies in Israel in 1990. Prof. Levron was a fellow in The Gamete and Embryo Research Laboratory at Cornell University Medical College New York Hospital, and later at the Center for Reproductive Medicine and Science of St. Barnabas Medical Center in NJ (1992 until 1995). During these years Prof. Levron participated in developing advanced laboratory methods in IVF in these world leading IVF centers. Prof. Levron served as a consultant in many IVF centers in the US and Europe and instructed in many courses of advanced ART methods in the US. Prof. Levron pioneered the technique of ICSI and established the first pregnancies in Israel using this method since February 1993. In 1998 he awarded the General Assembly Meeting Prize for best paper from the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. Prof. Levron has many scientific publications and was appointed as a senior lecturer at the Tel-Aviv University School of Medicine. Since 1995 he is a senior physician in the Division of Ob&Gyn at The Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer and until 2006 the scientific director of the IVF laboratory in both Sheba and Assuta IVF Centers in Tel-Aviv, Israel. In 2003, in partnership with his colleague Prof. Bider, he founded an IVF Unit in Kiev, and the L.B. IVF Clinic in Israel.

Medical Information & Overview on our Services Infertile Couple Evaluation Infertility is usually defined as the inability to conceive for one year, despite regular intercourse and regular lifestyle. In most if the developed countries, around 15-20% of couples will experience some degree of infertility. The reason we need to wait for a period of one year to confirm a state of infertility is because there is a 28% chance of getting pregnant during each ovulation cycle, so 80% of couples will be able to conceive after one year without any medical intervention. However, since some aspects of the initial evaluation is simple and inexpensive, it is reasonable to check your fertility after only six months for reassurance. In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) The IVF process involves controlled ovarian stimulation, trans-vaginal oocyte retrieval, in vitro fertilization, embryo culture, and implantation in the uterus. To date, IVF enables us to address most of the causes of infertility as well as preventing genetic traits and diseases. Egg Donation The preparation of embryos from egg donation takes place at the IVF Unit in ISIDA Hospital in Kiev, Ukraine. This procedure is performed by the L.B. IVF Clinic's medical staff, including a team of senior biologists and lab technicians from Israel who travel to Kiev specifically for this purpose. By adopting a unique approach, the clinic has the know-how and the ability to transport fresh embryos to Israel, using a special incubator developed by the clinic's medical staff. This significantly improves success rates, while also reducing the costs of traveling and staying away from home. The fresh embryo transfer procedure, which is performed in Israel, has yielded excellent results, matching the outcome of in situ treatment procedures! This technique of bringing fresh embryos to Israel has been recognized and widely imitated abroad. Many Israeli patients who live overseas are now coming to Israel in order to take advantage of our experience in this field. (For more details see below) Transferring fresh embryos has better results than transferring frozen embryos.

Surrogacy The clinic's expert staff performs the surrogacy procedure at the IVF Unit in ISIDA Hospital in Kiev, under licenses from both the Israeli and Ukrainian Health Ministries. Women who has had hysterectomy, or whose uterine cavity has been damaged by infection or due to surgical procedures (such as a therapeutic abortion), can use the services of a surrogate woman. Surrogacy can also be offered in cases where a woman is unable to become pregnant due to confounding medical reasons for example, when the pregnancy would endanger her health (due to heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, and so on), as well as in cases of recurrent miscarriage where no treatment has successfully resolved the issue. Leading, Innovative Fertility Services L.B. IVF Portable Incubator PGD/PGS This technique was pioneered in Israel by members of our team since 1995. Cleavage stage embryos are biopsied and the DNA content of the cells sampled is analyzed at the genetic laboratory. The tests may be aimed at diagnosing various genetic mutations, chromosome rearrangements, aneuploidies and gender.

Medical Information & Overview on our Services Gender balancing can be offered only for families with at least two children of the same gender. Some of our tests are accomplished on a one day basis while more elaborate and complex test require embryo cryopreservation after biopsy to allow enough time for the analysis completion process. of interdisciplinary therapies such as stem cell therapy. ICSI/IMSI/PICSI Micromanipulation techniques were pioneered in Israel by members of our team since 1989. Prof. Levron and Prof. Bider shared their vast experience by consulting various centers in the USA, Turkey, countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Selecting appropriate sperm for ICSI by high order magnification (IMSI) and selection of competent spermatozoa that adhere to the egg's derived molecules (PICSI) may provide better success of your ART treatment. IVF According to Jewish "Halacha" Patients have the option to undergo IVF treatments in accordance with Jewish law (Halacha), both in Israel and abroad. "Fertility supervisors" appointed by religious service associations are available to monitor the fertilization process from start to finish. This option is provided by organizations such as the PUAH Institute and Bonei Olam, as well as rabbis from various denominations, including the Gur Rabbi and other ultra-orthodox leaders. Religious supervision can also be provided, if the couple requests it, during egg donation treatments performed by the L.B. IVF Clinic in Kiev. The couple is advised to consult one of the institutions that provide this service, which will then send supervisors to Kiev on their behalf.

Leading, Innovative Fertility Services

The activities are performed at ISIDA Hospital in Kiev, Ukraine. This hospital is certified by the Ministries of Health in Israel and Ukraine, and meets ISO 9000 standards. Our clinic actively coordinates and provides IVF treatments using egg donation in Israel and abroad. This is why, more than ten years ago, we established a range of medical services at a hospital in Kiev, Ukraine, that specializes in providing these services to patients in Israel and other countries around the world. The treatment is performed under the approval and supervision of the Israeli and Ukrainian Ministries of Health. Medical records and other information relating to the patients are protected by patient confidentiality laws. Therefore, no one outside the institution where the procedure is taking place has access to the patients' medical records. The medical staff in Israel prepares the patients for treatment, including the entire medical infrastructure, medical examinations, the treatment schedule, and all administrative and medical paperwork. Prof. David Bider and Prof. Jacob Levron travel abroad with a team of Israeli doctors and embryologists chosen on our behalf, who personally perform the entire egg donation process. Full medical responsibility for your treatment rests with your selected physician. At our clinic's offices on HaBarzel Street, Tel Aviv, you will therefore find a comprehensive range of secretarial, nursing, sperm lab and bookkeeping services. Licensed by the Israeli & Ukrainian Ministries of Health

Our Egg Donation Program in Details Psychosocial criteria: Our local staff recruits candidates for egg donation and perform a thorough investigation on the personal and social background. The average age is 27 years old (range 22-33) and all of them have a proven fertility potential (at least one child). Candidates that pass this stage are further evaluated for medical conditions and diseases. They are screened for their general health condition by blood tests, familial medical history, etc. They undergo tests for STDs like HIV & Hepatitis. The genetic screening includes karyotyping, tests for Fragile-X, SMA and the local mutations for CF. We are advising the egg recipient male counterpart to have a genetic screen for abnormal traits and accordingly we may provide the donor blood sample for further analysis. The donors may donate their eggs up to 3 times. The mutual anonymity of both the donors and the recipient is guaranteed forever. The details provided about the donors include: Age, marital status, ethnic origin, blood type, height, weight, eye & hair colors, education level and occupation. Some donors give us the permission to disclose their faces while still remaining anonymous. In that case the whole cohort is designated only for a single specific recipient at the expense of extra cost. The donor may be selected from an online catalogue. For egg recipients that seek the option for additional future children from the same egg donor we suggest to consider allocation of a larger cohort of the donor's eggs for cryopreservation. Single women may purchase sperm donor samples from the sperm bank in Kiev or bring their donor from a different sperm bank. The sperm donors we provide in Kiev are screened for over 40 of the most common abnormal genetic traits. This increases the safety of the treatment. The Disclosed Donor Photo Program This is the only donation program that allows egg recipients to watch their donor photo and preselect their donor from an online catalogue of donor collection. In this program, all the eggs retrieved are donated to a single recipient increasing the chances of current and future success.

Important Information Transferring fresh embryos is always advantageous over transferring frozen-thawed embryos! We have the exclusive knowhow and the capability to bring safely fresh embryos to Israel, thanks to our unique portable incubator. We provide you with a better chance for success: at least 2 transfers, with at least 2 high quality embryos transferred each time in our basic egg donation service option. Our donors are screened thoroughly for health, genetic and psychosocial conditions, according the regulation of the Israeli Ministry of Health. Preimplantation genetic diagnosis & screening (PGD/S) may be provided before embryo'transfer. At early stages of successful pregnancy you may ask for another donation cycle from the same donor to increase the prospects for more children in the future.. Our Disclosed Donor Photo Program enables you to select your donor from an online catalogue. We offer a fast, reliable and relatively cheap surrogacy program. We provide our services in accordance with the orthodox Jewish religion (Halacha). Most importantly, there's no waiting list! Prof. David Bider and Prof. Jacob Levron and their staff in Israel travel to Kiev once a month, so you can schedule a prompt treatment cycle any time. We wish you good health and every success!
