We can give you the very best chance of having a baby
ISCARE was founded in 1994 as a first private clinic specialized in reproductive medicine in the Czech Republic. This centre of assisted reproduction has been dedicated to a comprehensive treatment of infertility for more than 18 years and it is one of the most successful and most sought after centers in the Czech Republic. Its stable success rate close to 50% proves proficiency comparable to the topmost European facilities. Another proof of quality work of our IVF team is more than ten thousand born babies so far. Our accomplishments come from experience and sensitive professional approach to every patient and also from knowledge that we inherited from Israel along with the know-how. Our clients automatically become a part of the clinic s large family and are treated this way. Thanks to this kind of attitude and to our effort we can host traditional annual meetings with parents and their children to see the result of our work. One of those meetings is registered in the Guiness World Records Book as the largest gathering of children born as a result of an artificial insemination. There are specialists from wide range of subject fields as gynecology, embryology, andrology, genetics and psychology and they are available to every couple that searches for our help. Besides regular practices, they actively attend abroad conferences, participate in several international studies and cooperate on research projects in the field of assisted reproduction. Its location in Prague, makes ISCARE ideal destination for clients seeking a combination of top medical services and pleasant holiday. The clinical centre is situated in the centre of Prague, at the bank of the river Vltava. Due to its location, it is easily accessible within 30 min from the airport. The clinical centre is a holder of the ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2005 certification and is an accredited centre working with human tissue in the Czech Republic compliant with the Directive of the European Parliament and Council 2004/23/ES and Law no. 296/2008 from the collection of laws and legal directives no. 422/2008. It also has a permit issued by the State Institute for Drug Control (SUKL).
IVF (IN VITRO FERTILIZATION) IVF 1. VISIT 2. VISIT HOME ONLINE CONSULTATION HORMONAL STIMULATION EMBRYO CULTIVATION 1-5 weeks 7-9 days 2-4 days 2-5 days 14 days INITIAL CONSULTATION COLLECTING SPERM (OPT) CHECKUP COLLECTING EGGS COLLECTING SPERM (OPT) FERTILIZING EGGS EMBRYOTRANSFER TREATMENT FINISHED PREGNANCY TEST We offer three types of packages for regular IVF treatment: 1. IVF cycle IVF with ICSI IVF with PICSI Procedures not included in package: spermiogram patients usually undergo this examination in their home countries (100 ), cryopreservation of sperm (300 ), pre-operation examination patients usually undergo this examination in their home countries (200 ), prolonged cultivation (200 ). How does the IVF treatment work? Initially a consultation is scheduled with one of our English speaking specialists. The appointment should be scheduled two or three days before the expected start of your menstrual cycle. During the consultation patients are examined and receive a package with medication along with the instructions when and how to use them. The male partner has an opportunity to deliver his semen and have it frozen for future use. Patients start taking the medication (hormone stimulation) on the 2nd day of their menstrual cycle and they come back to our clinic on the 8th or 9th day. During this second visit an ultrasound examination is performed. On the 11th-13th day of menstrual cycle the eggs are usually collected. If the male partner hasn t already delivered his sperm during the first visit, this is the right time to do it in order to fertilize the eggs. The last visit to the clinic would be 2 or 5 days after the egg collection during which embryo(s) are transferred into the womb. The whole process usually takes between two or three weeks.
EGG DONATION PROGRAM (ED) ED 1. VISIT (1-2 days) 2. VISIT (2-6 days) ONLINE CONSULTATION LOOKING FOR THE DONOR HORMONAL STIMULATION OF DONOR EMBRIO CULTIVATION 1-5 weeks 2-3 month (usually 3-4 weeks) days 3-5 days 14 days COUNSELING INTERVIEW COLLECTING SPERM (OPT) DONOR FOUND SYNCHRONIZATION OF CYCLES OF DONOR AND CLIENT EMBRYOTRANSFER TREATMENT FINISHED PREGNANCY TEST (at HOME) We provide two types of IVF packages with donated eggs: 1. IVF cycle including donor oocytes and guaranteed ET IVF cycle including donor oocytes and guaranteed FET Procedures include fertilization of oocytes through ICSI, prolonged embryos cultivation up to potential blastocyst stage (up to 120 hours). Procedures not included in package: spermiogram patients usually undergo this examination in their home countries (100 ), cryopreservation of sperm (300 ). Initially a consultation is scheduled with one of our English speaking specialists during which an ultrasound is performed and tests for STDs are taken. The male partner has an opportunity to deliver his semen and have it frozen for future use. Also, the patients phenotypes are noted down so that the donor can be searched for right after the first consultation. It usually takes 2-3 month to select an appropriate donor. Once the donor is found, the patients are informed and the stimulation and egg collection is planned. If the male partner hasn t already delivered his sperm during the first visit, he has to do so on the day of egg collection in order to fertilize the eggs. Overall, 2 visits are needed. One for the initial consultation and the second one for the egg collection or directly the transfer of embryos (in case the sperm has been frozen on the first day at ISCARE and later on used on the day of egg collection). We provide two types of embryodonation packages: 1. Embryodonation pronuclears Embryodonation blastocysts The package includes one transfer of up to two frozen embryos. Pronuclears are cultivated up to 72 hours. Blastocysts are cultivated up to 120 hours.
Who are our donors? Our donors are women between years of age. All of our donors must have at least a high school diploma. They are examined for STDs, genetic dysfunction and the medical history of their family is discussed with the genetic doctor. If their health status matches our strict regulations they can become egg donors. Our clients can choose their donor based on these factors; height, weight, colour of eyes, colour of hair, and tone of their skin. 6 Vocabulary First visit Initial consultation During your first visit, the patients meet with one of our IVF specialists. Latest cervical smear, hormonal profile, and any other available results are presented and discussed with the doctor. In case any examinations are missing, they can be performed at ISCARE on the same day. In vitro fertilization (IVF) The patient uses prescribed medicaments which increase the production of eggs. After the collection of eggs, the fertilization is performed in the laboratory. The resulting embryos are then transferred into the uterus. ICSI (intra cytoplasmic injection) In case the spermiogram shows a low sperm count or a poor quality, the sperm may lose the ability to fertilize the egg. Therefor ICSI method is used to fertilize the eggs in the laboratory by injecting a single sperm into each egg. ICSI is also recommended in most cases just as a more secure way of fertilization. PICSI PICSI is an improved ICSI method where only the most suitable sperm is selected and injected into the egg by which the chances for pregnancy may increase. PGD (pre-implantation genetic diagnosis) Also know as embryo screening, which is done to lower the risk of potential early miscarriage and genetic diseases. Cryopreservation Cryopreservation is a freezing process of human tissue at a very low temperature. It is possible to freeze sperm or quality embryos, which were not used during the IVF cycle. Vitrification Vitrification is a faster and a more effective way of freezing human tissue at a very low temperature. This method is proven to be much more sensitive than standard cryopreservation and therefore enables us to freeze the oocytes as well as sperm and embryos.
