Nurses and other members of the care team may also find it beneficial. Conference overview Hundreds of millions of people worldwide are affected by neurological disorders. As the prevalence of neurologic conditions continues to rise, primary care clinicians are increasingly encountering and managing these conditions. In parallel, the complexity of treating patients with neurological disorders is rapidly changing as new research and treatments impact practice. Update will provide a broad review on the emerging approaches to the diagnosis, treatment, management and prevention of neurological disease and disorders. Experts will share practical pearls on conditions relevant to daily practice. Topics include the management of neurologic emergencies, dizziness and vertigo, concussion, headache, pain, neuropathy, sleep, Parkinson s disease, tremors and dementia. Tour the new Neuroscience Center! Care, rehab and research all under one roof. cares for individuals with brain and spine conditions. Educational objectives Following this learning activity, participants will be able to: Apply evidence-based strategies in diagnosing and managing common neurological conditions Recognize and appropriately evaluate neurological emergencies Identify neuroscience resources in order to facilitate best care for patients with neurological conditions Cost/Registration Registration includes continental breakfast, lunch and refreshments. Cancellation and refund policy The registration fee, less a $50 administrative charge, is refundable if cancellation is received 5 business days in advance of the conference date. All continuing medical education activities are subject to cancellation. In the event this conference is cancelled, the Office of Continuing Medical Education, Institute, is not responsible for any airfare, hotel or other costs incurred by participants.
