Aim of the Advanced Course The ESSO Advanced Course Management of HIPEC after CRS aims to discuss evidence-based clinical decision-making in the management of primary and secondary peritoneal cancer and will offer a multidisciplinary programme combining both practical aspects and theoretical problems. Technical and clinical approaches will be revisited and updated. Presentations will include the state of the art and latest advancements, videos with tips and tricks by the experts in the field, and case reports. Participants will perform cytoreductive surgery in small groups in the wet lab using several new technical devices with supervision by the experts. Therefore the workshop is limited to a small number of participants (first come first serve). Ideal Advanced Course Candidate Senior residents (last two years of training) Experienced consultant surgeons Good in English, written and spoken Educational Methods Interdisciplinary approach Plenary lectures Workshops Video discussions Case reports Hands on: several operations procedures in the operating room Textbook and Video Atlas edited by Paul Sugarbaker offered by FARGO (Foundation for Applied Research in Gastrointestinal Oncology) Partnerships ESSO acknowledges the collaboration of the European Surgical Institute (ESI) and the Berufsverband der Deutschen Chirurgen (BDC).
