Thursday/Friday Concurrent Sessions Live scanning workshops: In these workshops, delegates have the opportunity to observe the performance of various echo measurements and advanced techniques performed on real patients/models. In these informal sessions, delegates can ask questions from the floor to address areas of interest. Sessions include Echo Basics (basic echo measurements including the assessment of diastolic function), Advanced Techniques (echo measurements for valvular pathology), 3D echo, and Strain imaging. Interactive Cases: During these sessions, the clinical cases will be presented highlighting the role of echocardiography in the assessment of various cardiac lesions and conditions. Sessions include Adult Congenital Heart Disease, Cardiomyopathies and Cardiac Masses, Stress Echo in Ischaemic Heart Disease, and Pericardial and Systemic Diseases. : In these workshops, delegates have the opportunity to perform transoesophageal echocardiography (TOE) on a simulator under the guidance and teaching of TOE experts. The small group setting provides delegates the opportunity to receive close personal instruction. Wet Lab [Heart Dissection]: In these workshops, delegates have the opportunity to dissection an ox/pig heart under the guidance of a cardiothoracic surgeon. Small workshop groups enable an upclose interaction with the surgeon and will enhance delegates understanding of cardiac anatomy and how this may relate to echocardiographic imaging. Computer Workshops: In these workshops, two delegates will share one computer workstation while they learn how to perform various measurements on the GE EchoPac clinical software. The small group environment supports and encourages interactions between delegates, instructors and GE application specialists. Sessions include Basic Measurements, Advanced Measurements, 3D echo, and Strain imaging. Echo Australia 2017 Program correct at time of printing. Subject to change without notice. Page 7
