PHI BETA LAMBDA PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS FRATERNITY CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP PROPOSAL
Howdy, As the new Corporate Sponsorship Chairs of Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) Professional Business Fraternity at Texas A&M University, my fellow officers and I are excited to share with you our organization's plans for the upcoming school year and to extend to you an invitation to help us make our plans a reality. PBL is a professional organization that connects students with companies, academic programs, and other business students with a dedication not only to professional and academic development but also social development. PBL helps its members find the best career path for themselves and encourages them to become positive influences in their communities. Phi Beta Lambda teaches professional networking, communication and leadership skills, and the importance of service through workshops, meetings, and community service events throughout the year. A main focus for PBL this year is to represent Texas A&M University at both State and National Leadership Conferences. Competing at these conferences will give members a platform to test their knowledge learned in class in real life business settings. The National Leadership Competition this June is held in Anaheim, California. Our goal is to fully fund any member selected to participate in this amazing opportunity. PBL s Pro Trip is the premier event for Phi Beta Lambda, bringing together many students and professionals seeking employment and advancement opportunities. This semester, we are planning to take 40 dedicated students to Austin, Texas in order to create long lasting corporate relationships and make memories along the way. As we continue to grow and diversify, PBL remains a close-knit group of students. There is a sense of family and purpose in everything we do, and we want you to be a part of this family, to share in our success and help make it possible. With your support, PBL can continue our programs to help our members and our community. By contributing, you can help PBL achieve our goal of enriching our members educations with the skills and values that will help them succeed. Included you will find further information about PBL and our programs, as well as a sponsorship form. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions concerning this proposal or PBL in general. I look forward to hearing from you. Respectfully, Caitlynne Koen & Lander Masche Corporate Sponsorship Chairs (830) 832-9856 tamupbl.sponsors@gmail.com

PBL Background Purpose Phi Beta Lambda is a professional business fraternity. The purpose of this PBL chapter is to provide opportunities for college students to develop leadership and other job related skills to take into a professional business setting. PBL is an integral part of the Mays instructional program and promotes a sense of civic and personal responsibility. Our chapter of PBL also aims to be an Active member of the National Future Business Leaders of America Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL), which we are affiliated with. Mission Our mission is to share knowledge and develop ethical business leaders for a global society. Vision Through committed leadership, we strive to shorten the gap between student and professional biospheres. The Texas A&M University Phi Beta Lambda chapter grew to over 100 members last year. The majority of these students are majoring in Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, MIS, or Supply Chain majors, however we do have some non-mays Business School students and welcome diversity. The Texas A&M PBL chapter is part of a national non profit 501(c) (3) organization and run by students. Funding is essential for the success of this organization, and without financial support from the private and public sectors, PBL would not have the means to host and attend all the programs necessary to accomplish its purposes. 1

Goals for the Academic Year As the newly elected officers have started to take on the responsibilities of running the Texas A&M PBL Chapter, we have come to an agreement on goals we will accomplish throughout the academic year. By building on our previous success we are confident that we will reach our goals. Below are the goals for the Texas A&M PBL Chapter for the academic year: - Raise $8,000 through corporate sponsorship to assist in traveling expenses for the semester s Professional Trip - Raise money to send participants to the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California, giving members a platform to test their knowledge learned in class in real life business settings - Represent Phi Beta Lambda at the annual Maysfest in order to gain a more diverse group of young business professionals to continue our tradition of service and development of ethical professionals - Successfully host fundraisers throughout the year to sponsor weekly activities such as meetings and socials - Productively host community service events to give back to our official charity, The March of Dimes, which works to end premature birth, birth defects, and infant mortality. - Host at least 4 events with companies to expand our member s corporate network - Continue to grow membership numbers by increasing involvement in Mays Business School General Meetings Members participate in biweekly meetings hosted by PBL student leadership to discuss upcoming fundraising, corporate sponsorship, and community service events, work on resumes and LinkedIn professional social media, and listen to speakers from various companies to learn more about the global business world. Attendance averages about 45-55 members, and we expect this number to rise in the years to come. If your company is interested in sending a recruiter or presenter to one of our meetings please let us know as soon as possible so that we are able to reserve that date for your company. 4
Outreach and Community Service Below, we have listed some of our last major community service events; we hope you would be interested in helping us make new memories a reality and help the community in any way we can! March of Dimes The March of Dimes is FBLA-PBL's national service partner. For over 40 years FBLA-PBL has consistently ranked as the top March of Dimes youth fundraising partner, raising over $15 million dollars and counting. The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. The Big Event The Big Event encourages and gives the opportunity for many student organizations to give back to the community through countless service projects. The community has immeasurable support for the university and our organizations; through this event along with others we show our appreciation. This past year, we sent out roughly sixty members who helped out ten different households by cleaning up yards, painting houses, building fences, and much more. Kyle Field Clean-up Regarded as one of the nation's most intimidating road venues, Texas A&M's Kyle Field has been the home of the Aggie football team since 1905. PBL proved this season that we are just as good at BTHO trash as we are humpin it. We cleaned multiple sections on the east side (student section) of Kyle Field. We want YOU to be part of all our future community service, outreaching, and learning experiences. Thank you for your attention.
