PHI BETA LAMBDA PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS FRATERNITY CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP PROPOSAL 1

Howdy, The Corporate Sponsorship Chairs and Officers of Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) at Texas A&M University are excited to share our organization's plans for the upcoming school year. We would like to extend to you an invitation to aid in the implementation of our organization s plans to better the community and its members. PBL is a nationally recognized professional organization that connects students with companies, academic programs, and other business-minded students. Our organization creates a network of students dedicated to professional and academic growth as well as social development. PBL teaches professional networking, communication and leadership skills, and the importance of service through workshops, meetings, and community service events throughout the year. The main goal for PBL this year is to represent Texas A&M University at the State and National Leadership Conferences. Competing at these conferences will give members a platform to test their acquired knowledge in real life business settings. The National Leadership Competition will be held this June in Baltimore, Maryland. To allow for maximum opportunity to compete, we are aiming to fully fund members that qualify for these competitions. PBL s Professional Trip is a central event for PBL that brings together many students and professionals seeking employment opportunities. This semester, we are planning to take 40 dedicated students to Dallas, Texas. As we continue to grow and diversify, PBL remains a close-knit group of students. There is a sense of family and purpose in everything we do, and we want you to be a part of this family. With your support, PBL can continue our programs to help our members and our community. By contributing, you can help PBL achieve our goal of enriching our members educations with the skills and values that will help them succeed. Included you will find further information about PBL and our programs, as well as a sponsorship form. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions concerning this proposal or PBL in general. We look forward to hearing from you. Respectfully, Courtney Nichols & Nicole Tranchita Corporate Sponsorship Chairs (832)748-7907 tamupbl.sponsors@gmail.com 2

PBL Background Purpose Phi Beta Lambda is a professional business fraternity. The purpose of this PBL chapter is to provide opportunities for college students to develop leadership and other job related skills to take into a professional business setting. PBL is an integral part of the Mays instructional program and promotes a sense of civic and personal responsibility. Our chapter of PBL also aims to be an Active member of the National Future Business Leaders of America Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL), which we are affiliated with. Mission Our mission is to share knowledge and develop ethical business leaders for a global society. Vision Through committed leadership, we strive to shorten the gap between student and professional biospheres. The Texas A&M University Phi Beta Lambda chapter is a student run organization with over 70 active members. The majority of these students major in Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, MIS, or Supply Chain majors. However, we do have some non-mays Business School students and welcome diversity. The Texas A&M PBL chapter is associated with the Texas A&M Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c) organization. Funding is essential for the success of this organization. Without the financial support of private and public sectors, PBL would not have the means to host and attend all the programs necessary to accomplish its purposes. 4

Thank you for your support! Goals for the Academic Year The newly elected officers of the Texas A&M PBL Chapter are excited for the 2017-2018 school year, and we have reached an agreement on the goals we will accomplish throughout the academic year. By building on our previous success we are confident that we will reach our goals. Below are the goals for the Texas A&M PBL Chapter for the academic year: - Raise $2,000 through corporate sponsorship to assist in traveling expenses for the semester s Professional Trip - Raise money to send participants to the National Leadership Conference in Baltimore, Maryland, which provides members a platform to test their acquired knowledge in a real life business setting - Represent Phi Beta Lambda at the semi-annual Maysfest to increase membership of diverse young business professionals and continue our tradition of service and ethical development - Successfully host fundraisers that sponsor weekly activities such as meetings and socials - Productively host community service events to give back to our official charity, The March of Dimes. March of Dimes works to end premature birth, birth defects, and infant mortality. - Host events with companies to expand our members corporate network - Increase involvement in Mays Business School to grow membership numbers General Meetings Members participate in biweekly meetings hosted by PBL student leadership to: - Discuss upcoming fundraising, corporate sponsorship, social, and community service events - Work on resumes, LinkedIn, and professional social media - Listen to speakers from various companies to learn more about the global business world Attendance averages about 45-55 members. We expect this number to rise in years to come. If your company is interested in sending a recruiter or presenter to one of our meetings, please let 7

us know as soon as possible so that we are able to reserve that date for your company. Outreach and Community Service Below, we have listed some of our last major community service events. We hope you are interested in helping us make new memories, learn about professional development, and assist the community! March of Dimes The March of Dimes is FBLA-PBL's national service partner. For over 40 years FBLA-PBL has consistently ranked as the top March of Dimes youth fundraising partner, raising over $15 million dollars and counting. The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. The Big Event The Big Event encourages and gives the opportunity for many student organizations to give back to the community through countless service projects. The community has immeasurable support for the university and our organizations. We should our appreciation through this event and through other, smaller events. This past year, we sent out roughly sixty members who helped out ten different households by cleaning up yards, painting houses, building fences, and much more. Kyle Field Clean-up Regarded as one of the nation's most intimidating road venues, Texas A&M's Kyle Field has been the home of the Aggie football team since 1905. PBL showed our school pride this season. We cleaned multiple sections on the east side (student section) of Kyle Field after a home game. We want YOU to be part of all our future community service, outreach, and learning experiences. Thank you for your attention. Best Regards, Courtney Nichols & Nicole Tranchita Corporate Sponsorship Chairs (832)748-7907 tamupbl.sponsors@gmail.com 8
