Winter/Spring 2016 Volunteer Opportunities It s a new year and the Parks and Recreation Department are as busy as ever and looking for individuals and groups of volunteers to help with our many programs, events and sports leagues. If you are interested in volunteering for any of the events or programs listed below, please contact Colleen Mattaline at 636-639- 2088 or volunteer@wentzvillemo.org. All volunteers must submit to and pass a Background Check before volunteering for any events with children or seniors. Please contact us at least 14 business days before an event, so we can get the background check submitted and returned in plenty of time. **Please do not assume that we know you are coming, if you have not contacted me. If you are going to be at an event or willing to volunteer your time, please contact us to get more information. Progress Park Greeter & Office Assistants These volunteers assist the staff with customer service, answering phones, filing and assisting with basic operations. These individuals are committed and may also be asked to participate in program planning, and help identify ways to better serve citizens at each of our facilities. We are looking for volunteers who can make either a short-term commitment (few weeks or a month) or a long-term commitment (several weeks or months) to this opportunity. Shifts- Monday-Friday o 8 am- 12 pm o 12 pm-4 pm o 4 pm- 8 pm Weekend shifts available upon request. 5

Helping Hands (Ages 10-16) Are you looking for a way to better the community you live in? Wentzville Parks and Recreation is offering a FREE volunteer program for youth. This once-a-month program will take place on the third Wednesday of every month. Parents will be responsible for transportation to and from the destination.
