4 All volunteers and Community Share Group participants are representatives of the National Cherry Festival while they are working at the Festival. Therefore, your group must agree to the following to participate in the Community Share Program: 1. Each working member of your group will need to be listed individually in our Volunteer Portal data base with unique information (name, address, , etc.) Specific step by step information will be provided to your team upon acceptance into the 2016 program. 2. The City of Traverse City passed an ordinance in 2010 that smoking will not be allowed in public parks. To be compliant with this city law, no smoking will be allowed in the Open Space Park. 3. Each member of your group agrees to abide by volunteer protocol requirementsworking the entire shift/time slot they have been assigned; arriving and working in appropriate dress: closed-toed shoes must be worn at all times; t-shirts provided by YOUR organization are encouraged. Shirts and attire that is not acceptable are those that are political in nature, inappropriate wording on shirts and bathing suits. There will be no smoking or eating at the ambassador oasis during your shift, no drinking alcoholic beverages before or during shifts. Any member of your group that arrives for a shift not following these requirements will be asked not to fulfill his or her shift, and your group will not be credited for that individual s hours. 4. Your group agrees to take part in any and all pre-festival trainings, if necessary, with the understanding that no compensation will be offered for any pre-festival trainings. 5. Every member of our group MUST check in with the Director or their agent of the event your group is volunteering for. 6. No pets are allowed on Festival grounds. Please make sure your workers do not bring their pets. 7. All workers under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult member of your group. 8. All group members agree to leave all personal belongings including, but not limited to purses, wallets, backpacks, etc. at home or in your group s locked vehicle as no location will be provided to store personal belongings, and the Festival does not take responsibility for lost, misplaced, damaged or stolen items. 9. Group Leaders please include a list of your volunteers with their contact information including phone number, t-shirt size, birth date, and . (Please call the NCF office if there are any questions) 10. Group Leaders, it is your responsibility to share all of this information with your group as well as coordinate the groups assigned shifts.
