SOMC Community Partnership Program Southern Ohio Medical Center is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our patients, employees and the communities we serve. Our Community Partnership Program was created to help raise awareness about SOMC community events that were established to promote our community s health and wellness needs. Our vision for this program is to establish strong philanthropic partnerships between SOMC and our valued Community Partners. We invite you to participate in any or all of our community fundraising events. Partner Your organization will be recognized at each sponsored event through a variety of outlets such as event shirts, social media posts, event signage and more. In addition to individual event recognition, all partners who sponsor an amount of $2,000 or more will receive a booth at the SOMC Community Partner Fair. SOMC Community Partner Fair The SOMC Vendor Fair will be held on September 13, 2018 from 9am to 2pm at the SOMC Friends Center. All partners who sponsor an amount of $2,000 or more will receive a free booth at the fair. The fair will be advertised to our community as well as SOMC employees. We invite each partner to set up a booth, display products and provide information about their company to those in attendance. Details about the fair will be disclosed at a later date. Community Champion (formerly wellness champions) Community Champions are those partners who choose to sponsor every event by donating at least $8,000. In addition to the recognition received by regular partners, Community Champions will get advertisement on SOMC social media pages, a corporate link on the SOMC Development Foundation s website, banners with their logo at Life Center locations and use of the Community Champion website icon. Community Champions may also supply marketing materials in the SOMC New Employee Orientation gift bags. In addition, these partners will receive further recognition at every SOMC event acknowledging each partner as a Community Champion. July 14 th, 2018 Proceeds from the Summer Soiree will benefit the SOMC Transcending Lives Campaign. Funds will be used to renovate and expand the SOMC Hospice Center adding four new patient rooms, as well as an upgraded kitchen and support areas. Celebrate summer and support the Transcending Lives Campaign by joining us in the countryside for our third Summer Soirée. July 28 th, 2018 A donation to the Hospice Caritas Fund allows us to make a positive difference in the lives of hospice patients and their families. Your gift ensures that local patients and families coping with a lifelimiting illness will receive comfort, support and care in their time of need when the hope for a cure is no longer possible. The Memorial Bike Ride is an annual event that was created in memory of motorcycle enthusiast and hospice patient Ricky Bryan. This is a wonderful event that enables the community to come together to support a great cause. Shirts go on sale every year to provide additional support to this event. $500 Live Acknowledgement Hospice Caritas
41st annual 18 September 1 st, 2018 The Community Health & Wellness Fund is designed to offer support to projects that will positively affect the health & wellness of those living and working in our community. October 12 th - Pink Out October 13 th - 5k The Cancer Compassion Fund assists local cancer patients with transportation, medication, wigs, etc. Your generous support helps patients and their families during a very difficult time. Paint It Pink is a unique 5k event named by Spry Living as one of America s best breast cancer 5k s. Community members celebrate a weekend-long event of painting the community pink to help raise awareness about breast cancer. The entire community shows support for the festivities by wearing their Paint It Pink t-shirts the day prior to the 5k while decorating their workplace, schools and homes. On October 13th, participants enjoy a flat race course through a scenic residential neighborhood. $500 Name on 5k Shirt Live Acknowledgement Breast Cancer Compassion
Winter Wonderland Ball November 16 th, 2018 Proceeds of the Winter Wonderland events will benefit the SOMC Annual Fund, which supports the areas of greatest need at Southern Ohio Medical Center ranging from the purchase of new equipment and technology, to upgrading facilities. s Ball - November 16th Train Show - November 24th and 25th Polar Express Pajama Party - November 27th Each year, we kick off the start of the holiday season with our Winter Wonderland Ball and s. The Ball is a black tie, formal event featuring a four-course meal and entertainment. The Polar Express Pajama Party features food, several children s activities, a visit from Santa and a viewing of the holiday classic Polar Express. somc Heart Month event February 23 rd, 2019 Your support of the Heart & Vascular Fund enables SOMC to offer heart patients a second chance at life through the most advanced technology available. Gifts will also enable SOMC to offer support to those patients who experience financial difficulty in their time of need. In honor of National Heart Month, a ladies night out event will be offered in the Month of February. The event will be tailored toward pampering ladies so that they can take better care of themselves, enabling them to continue to be the heart of the family. $500 Live Acknowledgement 2 Tickets Signage Heart & Vascular Fund
