OUR INSTRUCTORS When you attend a course at Great Lakes, you ll receive intensive, one-on-one training from professionals like Dan Miller, CDT, one of the country s most experienced instructors and technical consultants. All Great Lakes trainers are Certified Dental Technicians and have a minimum of 25 years orthodontic experience. They will guide you step-by-step through every phase of fabrication from basic theory to technical procedures and construction. Dan Miller, CDT Director of Education & Technical Specialist Dan Miller began his career with Great Lakes Orthodontics in 1967 as a technician. He has since been instructing in the art of appliance fabrication for more than 35 years. He also lectures and teaches courses in the United States and Europe. Dan received his New York State Dental Certification in 1971 and his National Board Certification in the field of orthodontics in 1984. In addition to teaching, Dan serves as technical consultant to the lab and participates in research and development for the company s laboratory and products divisions. Brian Willison, CDT Senior Instructor and Research & Development Technical Specialist Brian Willison joined Great Lakes Orthodontics, as a lab technician. After extensive training, he became an instructor and obtained National Board Certification in the field of orthodontics. Brian joined the State University of New York at Buffalo as a faculty member and laboratory lecturer in the Orthodontic Department of the School of Dental Medicine. He has published a variety of articles in industry journals and lectures at numerous seminars worldwide. Brian has coauthored the book Practical Guide to Orthodontic s...
