What is ACAMH? We are a truly multi-disciplinary membership organisation focused on bridging the gap between rigorous research and best practice relating to children s mental health. We hold a body of knowledge and act as an information hub for sharing best practice to benefit all of those who work with children. Who is a typical ACAMH Member? We have a unique membership of clinicians, practitioners and world-leading child mental health researchers, working across an array of child and adolescent mental health domains. Did you know? We are a registered charity that reinvests any profits generated into developing outputs for the benefit of the sector and our members. Added to this we are seeing a surge of new members from a wide range of professions whose day to day activities involves working with young people. These include; mental health nurses, teachers, social workers, GPs, NHS commissioners of mental health services, paediatricians and host more. What does ACAMH do? Our aim is to raise the standards in the understanding and management of child mental health issues. We publish the Journal of Child Psychology & Psychiatry (JCPP), an internationally acclaimed, world-leading child & adolescent psychology and psychiatry journal. With an impact factor of 6.615. JCPP brings together empirical research, clinical studies and reviews in order to advance how we understand and approach child and adolescent mental health. We publish the Child & Adolescent Mental Health (CAMH) journal, a high quality, peer-review of child and adolescent mental health services research. This has articles for practitioners describing evidence-based clinical methods and clinically orientated research. ACAMH is committed to supporting a professional community that is making a difference in the field of children s mental health.
