Championed the Mayor s Leadership Team, to advance quality preschool in Denver, leading to a ten year ballot initiative that provided over $100 million for the Denver Preschool Program. Launched innovative partnership in after-school programming, Lights on After School, that allocated $1.8 million in funding annually to Denver Public Schools, impacting over 15,000 school age children annually. This partnership was featured nationally as a best practice by the National League of Cities (NLC).
