Our Work What we do and why ACT Supporting People in Need is a non profit organisation who provide FREE home cleaning services to people in need throughout the UK. Our cleaning services are offered to a wide range of patients of all ages and needs so that they can focus on their health whilst we take away the worry of everyday cleaning. Once an application has been received from patients or their family members we assess each one individually to ensure our service is both suitable and beneficial then we arrange a pre home visit to those in supported locations. Once the paperwork is out of the way, we re ready to provide our FREE home cleaning service. Most patients are offered 6 weekly, monthly or fortnightly cleaning visits depending on what s best suited for their requirements. During this process our patients have more time to concentrate on what matters the most their wellbeing and family time. It s not just about providing clean homes we aim to promote positive wellbeing, provide safer spaces and restore confidence to people who are in the middle of a crisis.
Kevin Barrett one of our many Hero's! Kevin (pictured here with daughter Ruby who joined Kevin to complete the last part of the marathon) raised over 400 completing the Liverpool Rock n Roll Marathon in May 2017. 100% of Kevin s 400 will go towards FREE home cleaning services for people in need. This will allow ACT to clean 4 patient homes for up to 6 weeks.

Fundraising Ideas BINGO I wanted to organise a fun activity that would get the whole office involved in fundraising for ACT Supporting People in Need, and bingo proved to be a huge success. We sold loads of tickets and the atmosphere in the office was fantastic. Bingo fundraising tips Decide on a venue it could be your office, school, university or perhaps even your living room. Buy books of bingo tickets from the internet or from a stationery supplier. Start selling bingo tickets to your colleagues, classmates or friends in advance around two weeks before the event is ideal. Source a bingo prize or trophy. Try asking local businesses to donate the prize. Produce posters and flyers, and use social media to promote the event. Be sure to send a reminder on the morning of the event. Involve some of your colleagues, classmates or friends, perhaps by asking them to be a bingo caller or an assistant. Email participants with bingo rules and information on how to play. If you can, use a bingo machine when picking the numbers for added excitement.

Fundraising Ideas BALL Charity ball fundraising tips A charity ball requires lots of organisation. Always speak to your local fundraiser when considering putting on an event of this scale. The larger the event, the more work it will be. Forming a fundraising team will help share the workload. It will also give you a bigger pool of people to invite. Pick your theme and research venues, catering and entertainment before deciding your budget. Make sure you ask your local fundraiser to help. Book the venue in advance. Consider the number of guests who will be attending and the locality. Our corporate event brought together so many customers and suppliers all under one roof creating an amazing networking and charity event. It really did go down well and everyone stills comments about it today Entertainment is recommended. Before booking a band, ask for an internet link so you can listen to their music. Approach local organisations for corporate sponsorship. Even if people don t give you money, they might supply auction and raffle prizes. It is also worth writing to companies to ask for prizes. Always check with your local fundraiser before approaching companies, as they may already support ACT Supporting People in Need. Produce press releases and posters to advertise the event. Work with your local fundraiser to get the event advertised on the ACT Supporting People in Need website. Make sure to keep track of the table plan. Also keep a record of prizes, and remember to send thank you letters to donors. Produce invitation letters and tickets. Send them to guests around four weeks before the event, with a copy of the menu or any other details they will need to know. On the night make sure you have lots of volunteers helping. If you re having table decorations, make sure you allow time to set them up before the event. Depending on the type of ball, you will probably need volunteers to give out goody bags, compere the evening, run the raffle or auction and put on entertainment.

Fundraising Ideas FOOTBALL "On the day of the football tournament, I realised it had done more than raise money it had created friendship between all the teams, organisers and spectators. It was great doing something not only worthwhile for charity, but for ourselves." Five-a-side football fundraising tips Know your audience. Make sure that football is popular in your office, school, university or group of friends. If another sport is more popular, consider doing that instead. Create a fundraising team. There is a lot of running about and organising to be done, and it will be easier with more than one person. Decide on the structure of the tournament beforehand, including the format of the tournament and the number of teams. Publicise your event through posters, social media and email. Start promoting at least two weeks before the event, as people will need to get themselves organised into teams. Encourage teams to dress up and come up with comical names it helps make the event fun and is entertaining for spectators. Try to book at least an hour of extra time on the pitches you are using it will always take longer then you originally think. Make sure you have plenty of the necessary equipment on the day; whistles, balls, bibs, cones and stopwatches are essential. A megaphone will come in handy when trying to organise a large group of people. Bring extra balls some are bound to be lost in trees or over fences. Consider giving prizes. It isn t expensive to get a trophy engraved at your local engravers.
