The Aesthetic Practice with Dr. Patrice Pellerin, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane The Aesthetic Practice - our first event fully dedicated to building on the aesthetic offering to patients. Dr. Pellerin has been in practice for twenty years in Montreal, Canada. In 1996, we first launched our benchmark aesthetic appliance, Clarity Ceramic Brackets and Dr. Pellerin made a decision to offer Clarity as his primary appliance to all patients. Over a period of about two years, 3M Unitek noticed an unprecedented amount of Clarity being sold into this one office in a small town in Montreal. After investigation it was revealed that Dr.Pellerin was offering the Clarity appliance to all of his patients where it was appropriate. He modified his fees and offered metal braces and Clarity at the same cost. It was a way of overcoming objections and offering the patients what they wanted without compromising treatment plans. We have enjoyed a great relationship with Dr.Pellerin ever since. Being his first visit to Australia he presented in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne to a keen group of orthodontists all interested in maintaining a high standard of care in their practices, Dr Pellerin explained by expanding the offering of aesthetic appliances to patients including the new Clarity Advanced, Clarity SL and Incognito Customised Lingual Appliance, they are better serving today s market and improving the chances of meeting the growth expectations for their practice. Regardless of what is happening in our economies, more and more people are wanting to improve themselves and how they look. Dr.Pellerin visited several practices in South East Queensland, giving him an idea of how practices work here in Australia and to meet several of the orthodontists one on one. It was determined that the business of orthodontics, the structure of practices and legislation around the use of auxiliary staff is very much the same. Dr. Pellerin presented numerous clinical cases and demonstrated the statistics of value vs. price, with supporting studies that only 9% of patients are unhappy about price. The biggest concern today for patients is they want to be treated like they are THE ONLY patient! They want to be supported by empathetic staff and will only decide not to go ahead if the doctor or the staff is indifferent to their needs. 3M Unitek Australia would like to thank Dr. Patrice Pellerin and Sheila Suzuki (3M Canada) for taking the time to support our customers in their experiences with Incognito, aesthetics and the newly launched Clarity Advanced a ceramic appliance with the predictability of treatment of the MBT prescription, a lower profile providing greater comfort for the patient, improved strength and aesthetics, APC and predictable debonding. We also wish to thank our customers who supported these events and 3M Unitek, we appreciate doing business with you and your loyalty to our quality products. Deb Felker Sharing Knowledge
Using Forsus with Incognito What is the recommended procedure to follow when using Forsus with Incognito? Dr Aesthetics The Incognito Appliance system is a truly invisible aesthetic appliance with uncompromised results. When it comes to class II correction, Incognito works perfectly with our Forsus class II corrector system. Here is the procedure. Hints & Tips When placing your initial order, request a band with a Forsus tube for the required teeth. Incognito bands are fabricated over the occlusal surface of the tooth and do not fit interproximally. This means that you will not need spacers. Once the brackets are bonded and you are ready to start class II correction, you will need to create anchor points for the push rods on the lower arch. To do this you can bond a stiff stainless steel wire on the labial surface of the tooth between the canine and first bicuspid, or first and second bicuspids. The latter is a great aesthetic option as less of the Forsus device will be visible. w Once this is done, you can install the Forsus Fatigue Resistant Device. *When using Forsus with Incognito you must use the L- pin module. The partnership of Incognito with Forsus is a great way to achieve the predictable, effective and efficient treatment results you are after. Daniel Ryan Have any questions? Incognito Goes Social Take an energetic marketer, add an innovative product and combine with the power of the internet, and what do you get? Incognito Jacqui. She may not be a super hero, but 3M Unitek Canada s Marketing Communications Supervisor, Jacqui Newell, is helping to raise awareness of Incognito online by getting the treatment herself and blogging about it the whole way through. For the latest updates, visit Jacqui s blog at 3M.ca/IncognitoJacqui Quick Tips The LAVA TMP is not only a way to place an order for Incognito, but also a great communication tool between you and the lab. When an exclamation point shows up next to a patients name in LAVA, this means that there is an action to be made or that the order has progressed to the next step. Steps to follow... 1. Double click on the patient in the list with the exclamation mark. 2. Single click on the order with the exclamation mark. 3. Look through the messages and click mark as read where appropriate. To remove the exclamation point all messages need to be marked as read or replied to. If not LAVA treats the message as new. You can also communicate with the lab at any point in the order process by highlighting the order and clicking the new message button. This is useful for any questions you may have for the Lab. If you have any questions on this process, please contact your Territory Manager and they will be happy to help.
