Conference summary Laura and Joan reviewing evaluations Parents would like parent friendly presentations noted Mixed messages about Fri night presentation issues re: time management and organization; some wanted more info on intervention Joan asked Dr. Ahearn about posting workshop notes but didn t hear back from him; notes are not posted on website Fri night: 127 attendees (56 CEUs) Sat conference: 238 (70 CEUs) Conference materials on website Keynote suggestions for 2015 conference Posted on members only section; 6 presentations posted on website AGM also posted on website Mary Jane Weiss Piazza (feeding) Carr Vollmer Gina Green 2015 conference date September the earliest that UBC will be able to confirm the 2015 conference date BF Skinner newsletter Heidi emailed contact person and is waiting to hear back Heidi took some photos of board but not of membership due to concerns re: photo consent Kathryn suggested polling membership to submit photos Harley suggested Twitter as an avenue to solicit photos BC- ABA Board Meeting Minutes April 22, 2014 3 Laura and Joan to send evals to board Let keynote speakers know that they can spend less time providing introductory level ABA/autism info; spend more time on higher level instruction Heidi to contact Weiss about presenting at 2015 conference Joan will propose the first 2 weekends in March (6 or 13) and see when UBC is available ABAI poster Sara White has template Ben to make up the poster Joan to print poster ABAI liquor budget for the Board approved Either Laura or Joan will poster presentation purchase alcohol at the duty free Mid year event Perhaps October, but ACT has Gerenser coming in October Perhaps supervision workshop in November? Possible presenters: Matt Brodhead, Nicole Gravina. Cover the entire Laura to contact Matt Brodhead to get additional information about possibility of conducting
supervision curriculum so people can get their required hours?
