Why You Should Attend Deborah Heart and Lung Center (DHLC) and Cardiovascular Institute of Philadelphia s (CVI) 4th Annual Role of Cardiac Imaging in the Female Patient CME Program is designed to further the clinical application, management and interpretation skills of physicians, technologists and mid-level providers involved in non-invasive cardiac imaging. The agenda for DHLC/CVI s 4th Annual Role of Cardiac Imaging in the Female Patient CME Program focuses on a variety of topics in non-invasive cardiac imaging, including: Diagnostic approaches for detecting CAD in Women; Recent Advances in Nuclear SPECT; Stress testing in women beyond myocardial perfusion; CVD in women; Assessment/management of peripartum cardiomyopathy; 3D echo in valvular heart disease; Device therapy in women with cardiomyopathy; Percutaneous treatment beyond TAVR; Interesting echo case; Echo in congenital heart disease in pregnancy; Stress echo in assessing valvular disease; Echo in assessing and managing ASD, VSD, Paravalvular leaks; Cardiac MRI in assessing valvular heart disease in women; and New Cardiac CT-CAD RADS reporting guidelines. Target Audience This activity is designed for Cardiologists, Cardiology Fellows, Residents, Cardiac Sonographers, Nuclear Technologists, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Nurses and Medical Assistants who participate in the care of patients with cardiovascular disease; and other physicians and healthcare professionals with an interest in the subject matter. Learning Objectives After attending the Deborah Heart and Lung Center and Cardiovascular Institute of Philadelphia s 4th Annual Role of Cardiac Imaging in the Female Patient CME Program, attendees will be better able to: Incorporate the best diagnostic approaches into regular clinical practice for the diagnosis and detection of CAD in women Describe recent advances in Nuclear SPECT imaging and their clinical utility such as solid state CZT imaging systems, and new post processing software Identify prognostic markers for females undergoing stress testing beyond myocardial perfusion such as functional capacity and Duke treadmill score Discuss recent updates on cardiovascular disease in women Summarize key aspects in the assessment and management of peripartum cardiomyopathy Recognize the value and role of echocardiography in the management of congenital heart disease during pregnancy Discuss updates on device therapies in female patients with cardiomyopathy such as Bi-V CRT devices with multipolar leads and implanted hemodynamic monitoring devices Review percutaneous treatment of valvular disease in the Cath Lab - Beyond TAVR such as transcutaneous PVR as well as valve in valve replacement of the mitral and aortic valve Identify rare pathology as well as common artifacts seen on echo Describe the value of newer technologies such as Strain and 3D echo in the assessment of valvular disease in women Recognize the utility of stress echo in the assessment of valvular disease Examine the value of echocardiography in the assessment and percutaneous management of ASDs, VSDs and paravalvular leaks Characterize the use of Cardiac MRI in the assessment of valvular heart disease in women Incorporate the new cardiac CT-CAD-RADs reporting guidelines into clinical practice Accreditation Statement This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Committee on Medical Education, Medical Society of New Jersey through which Deborah Heart and Lung Center has been accredited as an Intrastate Provider of Continuing Medical Education for Physicians.
