2015 A YEAR OF DRAMATIC GROWTH ANNUAL REPORT
A LETTER FROM THE CEO When I started Bright Pink from my Chicago apartment in 2007, my dream was to help women who had never been diagnosed with breast and ovarian cancer, women like me, find the information and support that just wasn t out there at the time. I could never have imagined that from this little idea Bright Pink would grow to teach millions of women how to take their health into their own hands shaping a new generation who will reduce the amount of breast and ovarian cancer we face in this country. 2015 held much to be proud of. Significant achievements included exponential programmatic and revenue growth; the launch of a new digital tool, AssessYourRisk.org; and a rebrand and new website that elevated us to the national stage like never before. In 2016 we re poised to teach nearly 500,000 women how to prevent breast and ovarian cancer. And we re increasing the number of health providers we educate to better manage their patients risk by 46%. Along with this impressive growth, we re constantly innovating and measuring to ensure life-saving content is accessible and impactful. This amazing progress would not be possible without the tireless effort and deep support of so many individuals and partners. Thank you for believing in our mission and taking action alongside us. Warmly, LINDSAY AVNER, Founder and CEO
HOW BRIGHT PINK INSPIRED CHANGE OUR MISSION OUR VISION Saving women s lives from breast and ovarian cancer by empowering them to live proactively at a young age. Empowering the 52 million young women in the United States between the ages of 18 and 45 who have the chance to be more proactive with their breast and ovarian health. HOW WE DO IT By focusing on a two-pronged approach, delivering content to both young women and their health providers in innovative ways, including in-person workshops, collaborative partnerships and digital initiatives. FOR YOUNG WOMEN PERSONALIZED EDUCATION Focusing the conversation on health, not cancer. Creating health content that takes tough topics like cancer prevention and makes them personal, relatable and actionable. Delivering content to women where they are home, office, airport, doctor s office and favorite places to shop. Every woman needs to know her risk for cancer, how to prevent it and what to watch for. FOR HEALTH PROVIDERS CONTINUING EDUCATION Teaching what isn t taught in medical institutions: breast and ovarian risk stratification and management for young female patients. Instigating better conversations with more urgency between health providers and young women. Dramatically scaling the number of women our education is able to reach. By educating one OB/GYN, we impact the potential 3,600 female patients he/she cares for in a year.

I never knew I had options, breasts and ovaries were embarrassing words that I did not want to utter out loud, and I didn t know that I could opt to not be a victim of circumstance or genetics. Bright Pink gave me knowledge, gave me healing, and gave me a voice. -Jessica T.
