UMMER SERVICE School will be out in a matter of weeks and it will soon be summer! This long vacation period is one of the best times to plan and execute service projects as you (hopefully) don t have to worry about schoolwork during this time. This year, I am asking that each club plan and execute at least 2 service projects during the summer break. As summer is both July and August, you could probably have one each month! Here are a list of service projects your club can consider doing while on holiday: Organize a clothes/ book drive. Host a beach clean up. Volunteer at an animal shelter. Offer to read at a nursing home/ children s nursery. Repaint or clean up an area of your school. Make gifts and donate them to the children s ward at the hospital. Plant a garden at your school. If you need any help in planning these projects, don t be afraid to let me know! Key Club members at the District Beach Clean Up and Barbecue last August.
