We have reached an amazing total of just over $15 000 THANK YOU Please try and support these businesses as they have supported us. Details of sponsors are included in this newsletter and will feature in the next College Newsletter and on the website. If you have a home or family business that you would like promoted at the Fair then you might like to consider sponsorship. Your early commitment to sponsorship enables us to give you maximum advertising opportunities. All donations for sponsorship are tax deductible. If you are intending to help with sponsorship please let Angie Moore (in Admin) know by Friday 20th April as flyers will need to be printed. Any amount is gratefully accepted. Come in and see Angie to find out what we can offer you! Many of our College families do like to sponsor the Fair and if you are thinking you might do it this year, now is the time! We have many packages available. Attached is the Fair Sponsorship Prospectus. Please do not feel limited with these packages. Our target is to raise $20,000 to cover the costs of the rides, hire equipment and advertising. We attract thousands of visitors to the Fair each year and much of our success is attributed to our many sponsors. We really appreciate your generosity. FAIR COORDINATOR AND TEAM... A little bit about me. My name is Angie Moore and I am a mum to 3 children, 2 at St. Michael s and one in year 7 at Grace. I have been on the Fair Committee for 8 years now and thrive on helping our school raise much needed funds for valuable resources for our children. A big thank you to all the Committee Members who volunteer their time to help in any way they can. As I write this, Michelle and Shona are out collecting sponsorship (and are doing a mighty fine job this morning), Karl has been very busy making the frames with Brother Edward for our new stalls. All our members work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure we create an amazing atmosphere and experience on Fair day. If you are wondering how you can help, please see come and see me. Every little bit helps. We do need to form a committee to work on prize donations and collections so if you have some free time and like talking on the phone, I would love to have a chat. Next Fair Meeting - 19th March - 7pm in Staff Room - All Welcome

We will happily help you with any questions you may have and allay any fears or uncertainty. What s NEW this year. Due to the success of Laser Tag last year, it will be returning again in 2018. With busy lives, it can be hard to find time to volunteer. However, the benefits of volunteering are enormous to you, your family, and your community. The right match can help you to reduce stress, find friends, reach out to the community, learn new skills, and even advance your career. Giving to others can also help protect your mental and physical health. Volunteering offers vital help to people in need, worthwhile causes, and the community, but the benefits can be even greater for you, the volunteer. Volunteering and helping others can help you reduce stress, combat depression, keep you mentally stimulated, and provide a sense of purpose. While it s true that the more you volunteer, the more benefits you ll experience, volunteering doesn t have to involve a long-term commitment or take a huge amount of time out of your busy day. Giving in even simple ways can help others those in need and improve your health and happiness. The success of our College Fair is due to the many hours that our parents volunteer for, each and every year. From bundling up raffle tickets, to collecting prizes and donations, building stall frames, attending meetings and giving of their time on Fair Day. We can t do it without you. The more people that work together, lessons the load for everyone.
