2018 bringing people together through activity opportunities Friday Night Club Activity Opportunities

MISSION STATEMENT All things are possible To improve the wellbeing of adults with a learning disabilities and/or mental health issues through activities that help them feel valued, and be valued, within their community. How We have activities running most days of the week throughout the year at different venues which are run by our volunteers and individual s own support staff. History Having run the FNC as a voluntary group for the last 8 years, we became a Community Interest Company late in 2016 and in 2017 we obtained Charity status which will enable us to approach commercial enterprise for support and possible partnerships as the Public Sector NHS and Adult services are facing so many cut backs, the services being offered to this disadvantaged group of people is reducing each year whereas the FNC now have over 100 people attending one or more of the activities offered. We believe that when Commercial Enterprise exercise their social conscience. All things are possible! Vision To have the facilities for more people to be able to attend one of the events as we have reached full capacity on some activities, which means we may have to refuse some people in need in the future. Therefore, our aim this year is to obtain the use of our own land (around 2 acres) where we could create a small outdoor activity centre where we would lay an off-road track for our buggies that would be fit to use all the year round, at the same time we would put up a building where our weekly archery sessions could take place regardless of the weather, this building would also provide safe storage for our off-road buggies. Our Vision is for other Charities to share the use of this venue - more will benefit throughout the community; our main aim this year is to find a way to fund this intent. All things are possible! The Friday Night Club would like to thank our very generous benefactors: Marwell Activity Centre, Wallington Village Hall, Community Action Fareham, One Community, The Green Room Group, The Fareham Pub, Fareham Borough Council Community Interest Group. Company No. 10491936 Charity No. 1174538

The Friday Night Club was formed in 2010 to put on Disco evenings for individuals with a learning disability on the first Friday of every month and we even have our own music festival every year at Marwell Activity Centre where we showcase 4 Live Bands.
