Understanding Risk Factors To help you live, feel and be better every day we are promoting awareness of the risk factors that can be managed by an individual
Campaign Goal Help participants to Live, Feel & Be Better Every Day Three steps to help them start in 2018: 1. Know Your Numbers (find out your health measures) 2. Take the Pledge (and learn about resources) 3. Select a Program (to help you succeed)

Step 2: Take the Pledge Participants will be provided with the option to choose from three tracks to help them reach their goal: 1. Lose weight 2. Lower your blood pressure 3. Adopt healthy habits Each track will highlight resources to help participants meet their goal. Champion Role: Encourage participants to complete the pledge survey to sign up for the campaign.
Lose Weight If you are overweight, losing 5-10% of your weight can have big health impacts, including preventing chronic diseases. A quick way to understand whether or not you are within a healthy weight range, is to monitor your BMI.
Lower Blood Pressure 1 in 6 Americans don t know they have high blood pressure because there are no obvious signs or symptoms A quick way to understand whether or not you are within a healthy blood pressure range is to monitor your blood pressure routinely.
Adopt Healthy Habits Finding which habits work for you and maintaining them throughout the year is a goal that can help people to stay focused and consistent. Practicing healthy habits consistently can help you to manage your risk factors.
ACTIVITY: Discuss some well-being tools you want to introduce in your workplace to promote one of the following goals: 1. Lose Weight 2. Lower Blood Pressure 3. Adopt Healthy Habits Think of your ideas in two categories: What would you want to do if money was not an obstacle? What can you do with the resources you have available? Example: I d like to create food pantry with healthy options readily available for employees. But it also works to order fruit guys from HSS well-being a few times each year.
