ASKLEPIOS Course This ASKLEPIOS Course is implemented with great support and partnership of Bayer and CBR (Brazilian College of Radiology). Education in partnership
ASKLEPIOS Course ASKLEPIOS Course Course information The course is aimed at senior residents, board-certified radiologists and fellows interested in MR imaging and will focus on the most successful technical consideration to acquire high-quality images in oncologic patients. It will further concentrate on the evaluation of updated diagnostic findings, stratifying criteria and staging principles as well as treatment strategies and effects assessment. The clinical role of MR imaging in liver, rectal, renal and prostate cancer will be presented. A special focus will be devoted to the applications of the latest technical advances and newer European guidelines for MR imaging in these oncologic situations. Internationally renowned European and Brazilian experts will ensure a high-quality teaching programme combining plenary lectures and workshops allowing for interactive case discussion. Learning objectives to present an update on the current MR imaging protocols used in oncologic patients for the detection and characterisation of some of the most important and frequent neoplastic diseases of the abdomen to learn more about the imaging features relevant to clinical decision-making in these patients to explain the clinical significance of early tumour detection and the necessity of accurate staging for appropriate therapy-planning and correct estimation of patients prognosis to discuss the role of imaging in therapy monitoring, evaluation of treatment effects, lesions restaging and follow-up of these neoplasms to introduce the new European and international imaging guidelines used for these tumours
