A LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT Winter Newsletter Happy Holidays! With Thanksgiving in the rear-view mirror and a busy holiday season ahead of us all, it s good to take a few minutes to take stock of what we ve accomplished this year and what are goals are for 2018. One thing I am very grateful for is the people of Nebraska HIMSS and my healthcare informatics colleagues across the country. We are all so fortunate to work in an industry that makes such a huge difference in people s lives every day. The work you all do is so important. And it has never been more important that we do it well. I like to think that the cooperation and comradeship that the Nebraska HIMSS chapter supports makes it just a little easier for us all to succeed. Elsewhere in this newsletter, you ll see a hold the date for our Spring Meeting April 23-24. Last month s fall meeting was outstanding great content and networking with the largest turn-out we ve seen in several years. Wanda Kelly and the Program Committee are hard at work on the agenda for the next conference, and I expect it to offer great content and tremendous value. As we get ready for 2018, if there is anything we at Nebraska HIMSS can do for you, our members, please let us know. And if you d like to get involved, let us know that too! Once again, Happy Holidays and all the best in 2018. George, President, Nebraska HIMSS
