Keynote Speakers: David Dosa, M.D. Dr. David Dosa is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He is a specialist in Geriatric Medicine and in Palliative Medicine. His essay in the New England Journal of Medicine about Oscar the cat who lived in a nursing home and visited patients when they were close to death with an uncanny prognostic accuracy garnered widespread attention and lead to the publication of his book, Rounding with Oscar: The Extra ordinary Gift of an Ordinary Cat. He is an engaging, entertaining and informative speaker. Mr. Thomas Lynch Mr. Thomas Lynch is a funeral director in Milford, Michigan. His family has been in the business for several generations. In addition to his work with the dead and bereaved families, he is a prolific author, poet and speaker. His family s business and his literary work were the focus of a PBS Frontline documentary in 2007 The Undertaking.
