Menorca A Spanish island known as the Jewel of the Balearics, Menorca is renowned for its biodiversity and unspoilt coastlines. The Menorcans work passionately to preserve this beautiful island. Continuing to use traditional farming methods, they keep the island s incredible biodiversity and authentic culture alive. The rich ecosystem of the area means you ll find tortoises, pine martens and ospreys here, and the abundant flora includes wild orchids, fig, olive and citrus trees.
Binigaus Nou Binigaus Nou is an 18th century residence that has been lovingly modernised while preserving the rustic simplicity that make Menorcan homes unique. The rooms are bright and airy and the ambience is one of calm and comfort. A spectacular infinity pool overlooks a vista of protected forest down to the ocean among fig and citrus trees. The main town of Mahon and the airport are only thirty minutes away by car. The nearest towns are 2 km away: both Santo Tomas and Es Migjorn Gran are walking distance.
Our Philosophy Wildfitness is the practice of listening to your body and mind and responding to your needs for varied movement, deep relaxation and real food. And we do this in stunning nature, with a likeminded tribe and have a lot of fun doing so! This philosophy is as powerful as it is simple and has the potential to change your life. Wild Moving Moving with intensity, skill and playfulness will develop a strong and resilient body. In Menorca, we ll explore the body s natural aptitude for movement and show you how to make it fun again. Wild Eating Modern lifestyles have a way of complicating our relationship with food, but eating right for your species will make you nourished, lean and energised. At Binigaus Nou, we will empower you with principles to help you eat well and feel profound results. Frequently Asked Qs Start times and end times: we start each retreat at 4pm on the Saturday and end at 10am on the Friday. We can be a bit flexible (by a few hours) with check in and out times if flights are earlier or later. Where do I fly to? Mahon, about 30 minutes by car from us Am I fit enough? There are no prerequisites in terms of fitness. We have an individual approach to what we do which means we can provide movement that is safe but challenging to you. Please do let us know about any injuries to ensure that we take these into account. What s the food like? We rather like Michael Pollan s phrase eat food, mostly plants, not too much. We don t have caffeine, refined sugars or processed food on our retreats. Just good, natural and mostly locally sourced delicious dishes instead! What s the difference between Fundamentals and Transformative? The Transformative course is two Fundamentals courses back to back with applied learning and teaching in the second half. Fundamentals gives us a chance to take you through the varied aspects of our approach to movement, rest and relaxation, and eating. In the 6 days of a Fundamentals course, understand how to move in varied ways, how to think about your food and consider real and useful approaches to rest. You will most likely leave feeling stronger and more confident and with tools to take what you have learned back home and incorporate into your daily routine. The longer Transformative course covers the same elements in the first half but allows you to develop a deeper understanding of our approach and to really put it into practice. The sessions will repeat at least in name but your understanding and ability by the second half of the Transformative course will be more advanced and so we will challenge you in different and more rewarding ways. There is a day in the middle of the Transformative course which is a rest day, aside from a one-to-one personal training session with one of our coaches! Will I lose weight? We certainly don t guarantee it and we don t place much importance on short term weight loss. We are more interested in bringing the joy back into eating healthily, in the long term, which may well result in sustainable weight loss.
