Group Description Coffee Community: Ease into the day by reaffirming community relationships through small talk and kind gestures, all while enjoying a morning snack and a cup of hot coffee : Discuss current events and their impact on our wellbeing and our community. Building Self-Esteem: Learn techniques to handle mistakes, respond to criticism, foster compassion, achieve goals, and visualize self-acceptance 1:1 Support: Reserve time by appointment to work individually with a Peer Counselor on problem solving, conflict resolution, setting/working on/achieving personal goals. Arts and Crafts Express and understand your emotions, behaviors, and feelings through the creative arts process. Learn to apply art as a coping skill to resolve issues, reduce stress, and improve self-esteem and awareness. Mood and Anxiety Group: A support group where we can help each other navigate the ups and downs of life! Come meet others just like you a place where you can be yourself and feel safe. We are here to help improve the lives of people living with mood and anxiety disorders. We ve been there. We can help. POCC: Pool of Consumer Champions Meeting MBS: Mind, Body, and Soul! Join us for one hour a day for a selection of activities to support the development of our inner and outer selves through activities such as meditation, physical exercise, and spiritual practices to encourage healing and community. Yoga: Focus on breathing, relaxation poses with modifications, and gazing point are all introduced. Expect to build strength, flexibility and mindfulness. Community Meeting: A time reserved for community members and staff to address wellness center matters such a planning future activities, groups, and outings. This time is also reserved for Restorative Justice circles when needed and appropriate. Housing Workshop: Classes will cover everything you need to know about finding and keeping housing. Curriculum includes application completion, adjustment to permanent housing, relationships with landlords, and more. Individual counseling also available. Anger Management: A combined cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) approach that employs relaxation, cognitive, and communication skills interventions. Participants draw on these different interventions to develop individualized anger control plans. Cultural Awareness Group: Exploring cultural awareness and diversity within our community. Baking Club: Join us weekly to learn and teach new recipes for yummy goodies. CONNECTING TO SERVICES AT THE TOWNEHOUSE WELLNESS CENTER WELLNESS GROUPS Groups that provide insight and support for individuals overcoming mental health differences. COMMUNITY DAILY Wellness Check-In: Participants share their life experiences in a supportive environment that includes affirmations, sharing stories, and encouragement. Walk-n-Talk: Participants check-in with staff and other peers while enjoying a walk in the neighborhood. Community Lunch: Joining each other in a community lunch in order to promote support from one another and a sense of community. MONDAY Housing Group: Focus on budgeting, tenant rights and responsibilities, and move in/out expectations. Anxiety Management: Practice the use of integrative exercises to reduce anxiety. Meditation: Guided relaxation and meditations to help participants take an inward journey to find balance and serenity.
