Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, Learning (MEAL) 2016 2020 COUNTRY DASHBOARD Uganda The MEAL Results Framework identifies a wide range of desired results and associated indicators of progress across various domains in which the SUN Movement seeks to catalyze change and delivery nutrition impact. These results correspond to the steps in the SUN Movement Theory of Change. UGANDA The Country Dashboard provides an overview on the progress using a standard set of indicators that cover different dimensions of the SUN Movement Theory of Change, from commitments to actions to results to impacts. Data for Uganda are available for 74/79 (94%) indicators mostly covering the timeframe 2007-2016. Based on the data, Uganda is progressing well regarding the enabling environment, finance for nutrition, legislation, uptake of breastfeeding and dietary intake behaviours, as well as the nutrition status of women and children. However, more could be done to enhance a multisectoral approach for improving the underlying drivers of nutrition (especially water, sanitation and infectious diseases), and scaling up of high impact interventions, including young child feeding practices, to improve child nutrition and to reduce the double burden of malnutrition among women. This dashboard can be adapted for use at sub-national level and complemented with additional indicators based on data availability. The selected indicators are aligned with globally agreed frameworks for nutrition and with the SDGs indicators. UGANDA: RELATIVE SCORE FOR EACH DOMAIN Median for SUN countries
