14 Brown MHIRT The Goal: Mentor underrepresented* undergraduates, graduate and medical students to pursue careers in biomedical sciences, by providing exposure and training in global health programs and research. *Underrepresented in the sciences, as defined by the NIH

15 Brown MHIRT The Program: Supports 10 students to participate in 8-10 week mentored summer research experience in an international setting. Will attend regular group global health meetings and overseas preparedness provided prior to travel. Ongoing career mentorship after summer experience. Open to Brown and Tougaloo and other students who have completed two years, focused on health sciences.
