Speaker Information: Marilyn Allen, M.S. Ms. Marilyn Allen is a Practice Management Consultant for the acupuncture profession. Her expertise spans practice building, office management, marketing and professional ethics and jurisprudence. Marilyn is a co-author of Points for Profit, a book for the acupuncture profession in the area of business and practice management, marketing and public relations. With a M.S. in Management and Administration from Pepperdine University, she has honed her skills in several large complementary medicine clinics. Marilyn serves as the Public Relations and Marketing Director for the American Acupuncture Council. Marilyn has been a contributor to three different Oriental medicine journals and in 1999 was named as the Editor of Acupuncture Today. Marilyn is currently serving as the representative to the WHO (World Health Organization) for the development of diagnostic does for the International Classification of Traditional Medicine. Representing Traditional Medicine providers on the Technical Advisory Group for Quality and Safety. A member of the U.S. Delegation to the International Organization for Standardization. Marilyn has been elected to the Chairman s Advisory Council. The organization is working on Public Safety and Quality and Standards for herbs and medical devices used in Acupuncture Offices. Marilyn loves to work in her garden and grows various kinds of fruit and numerous flowers in her spare time,. The course provides some clinical protocols on aging, stroke, Parkinson's syndrome, phantom, ADHD, bell's palsy, myasthenia gravis, depression and anxiety, which can get good effects with acupuncture treatment and herbs. The course also introduces some modern research information on these diseases which can help to understand acupuncture treatment mechanism. 3 Speaker Information: Xiaorong Ding, Ph.D., LAc Dr. Xiaorong Ding has been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine in China s premier university hospitals and institutes since Dr. Ding received her B.M. from Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Harbin, P.R. China. She received her M.S. and her Ph.D. from the Department of Acupuncture, Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, one of the most prestigious and respected TCM Universities in China. After obtained her PhD in 2003, which is in Science of Acupuncture and Moxibustion with a subfield in neurology, she continued to perform acupuncture and traditional Chinese herbs at her alma mater s University Hospital for another four years, eventually rising to Associate Chief Physician. Soon after, Dr. Ding joined the China Academy of Chinese Medicine the NIH of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China as an associate professor. Her post-doctorate work was research on the integration of TCM and Western Medicine at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences in Beijing. She specialized in treatment of Wind stroke, Dementia, Women s Medicine and joint pain at the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin TCM University in Tianjin. She moved to Denver, Colorado on 2011 and now is practicing in her private acupuncture clinic in Denver, as well as an instructor in CSTCM. Dr. Ding s practice focuses on integrating Chinese and Western medicine on various diseases. She also has published more than 40 research papers on Chinese medicine. This unusual background gives her keen and deep going perspective on mankind health. Dr. Ding believes that what acupuncturist needs to do is to help patients fighting against diseases by themselves. She understands very well that mankind is an integral part of nature. 3 講師簡歷 : 丁曉蓉醫學博士 丁曉蓉醫學博士, 2000 年跟隨李平導師, 獲得針灸專業碩士學 位,2003 年跟隨韓景獻導師, 畢業於天津中醫藥大學获得針灸專業 博士學位 她的博士後工作是在中国中醫科學院進行中西醫結合的 研究 她專門研究神經內科疾病, 中風, 癡呆, 婦科和關節疼痛 等 她於 2011 年搬到科羅拉多州的丹佛, 在 CSTCM 擔任講師 她還 發表了 40 多篇關於中醫的研究論文 Neuro-Acupuncture Treating Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders & Trisomy 18 Speaker: Linda Hao, Ph.D., LAc Chinese Scalp-Acupuncture, also called Neuro-Acupuncture, is a contemporary acupuncture technique integrating traditional Chinese needling methods with Western medical knowledge of the brain. Neuro-acupuncture is a modern technique with almost five decades of history. Neuro-acupuncture has been proven to be the most effective technique for treating acute and chronic central nervous system disorders in adults and children, including cerebral palsy, stroke, traumatic brain injury, MS, Parkinson s,paralysis, etc. Neuroacupuncture often produces remarkable results with just a few needles. Speaker Information: Linda Hao, Ph.D., LAc Dr. Linda Hao received her Doctorate Degree in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture from Heilongjiang TCM University in Harbin, China, with specialty in neuro-acupuncture. She also achieved the distinction as a fellow of scalpacupuncture, founded by Dr. Jiao Shunfa. Dr. Linda Hao is the President of the National Healthcare Center in Albuquerque, NM, the founder of the Academy of International Scalp Acupuncture, and the co-founder and full professor of the Neuro-Acupuncture Institute. She is appointed Honorary Adviser and Expert of European Association of Scalp Acupuncture. She is the Vice President to the Specialty Committee of Head Acupuncture of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies. Dr. Linda is a pioneer in the neuro-acupuncture treatment of children with Autism, Trisomy 18, and other difficult neurological disorders worldwide. She specializes in the treatment of cerebral palsy, stroke, traumatic brain injury, 5 MS, and paralysis, etc. Her patients come from all walks of life including celebrities in USA and abroad. Her work has garnered national and international recognition, and her accomplishments have been broadcasted many times by local and national TV like Fox News, Action 7 News and newspapers, bringing wide spread acceptance of Scalp Acupuncture throughout the world. What is the exact theory of TCM oncology? Dr. Mah in 1996 to the United States engaged in the anti-cancer clinic, and got inspiration from an ancient herbal prescription, Bie Jia Jian Wan. By it, he expands TCM clinical analysis of cancer pathology, therapy, and even prevention through the consotherapy that he named his therapy. The class will discuss: The world map of cancer; the basic theory of oncology; The outline of TCM oncology, Dr. Mah s first step of using Chinese medicine to treat cancer; analysis of Bie Jia Jian Wan; discover of consotherapy; standardization of cancer pathology and diagnosis in consotherapy based on an analysis of 1000 cases; standardization of cancer treatment in consotherapy; and discussion on key points. Dr.Mah is a renowned scholar, practitioner, and prolific writer in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).He founded Consotherapy, a TCM method for cancer support. He is the chief editor of The Grand System of World Traditional Medicine,a series of 26 books covering TCM foundation, prevention, diagnosis and treatment,and eight of them have been published by China Science Academy Science press, the top authority publisher in China.
