3 KEY INSIGHTS 7 of respondents say they have avoided shaking someone s hand to try and avoid flu germs 87% of respondents say they have gotten sick because of a coworker Half (5) of respondents say they have secretly disinfected or wiped down the surfaces of a coworker s desk to avoid their germs spreading While 62% say the worst part of the flu is physical discomfort, 2 say the worst part is potentially passing it to loved ones 37% of respondents would rather give up social media for a week than get a flu, and 36% would rather get a paper cut 29% would rather have dinner with an ex than get the flu, and 24% would rather speak publicly

4 KEY INSIGHTS GENDER AND AGE 24.4% of women say they have never cleaned the bottom of their purse, brief case or back pack Men are more likely then women to say they wash their hands when they arrive at the office (73% compared to 64%) Women are more likely than men to report secretly disinfecting a coworker s desk (57% of women compared to 43% of men) While 72% of those wash their hands when they arrive at the office, only 53% of individuals said they definitely or probably wash their hands when they arrive in the morning 9 of those individuals said they believe they have gotten sick because of a coworker
