2 Mexican Night Trojan kids Around the Grounds This week the Trojans play Ourimbah in what will be a repeat of last year s Grand Final. Both Terrigal and Ourimbah area leading the competition, so it will be a tough challenge in every grade this weekend which both Clubs want to win. Terrigal and Ourimbah have a number of representative players in their sides so the standard of this match will be very high. The backs could cancel themselves out with talent on both sides, so whoever controls the forwards match up will probably win this match. Expect our Trojans to really step up. Terrigal will rely heavily on the experience of Sekope Maea, Alex Brewin, Dylon Calabria and Ryan Metcalfe. Upcoming events This could well be the game of the season and Ourimbah will have a big crowd, therefore we need all our supporters there loud and proud to get the Trojans home in an epic match. The Metropolitan North Team is made up of the Central Coast and Northern Beaches. The pair will train in

3 Sydney each Monday night leading up to a State Carnival held in Coffs Harbour. We wish the boys good luck and congratulations in your achievements! Marcus Aitchison Angus Newport LAST WEEKEND AGAINST HORNSBY What a Club Hornsby are!!! Terrigal turned on beautiful weather last weeked for the match up and produced ourselves wins in both grades and Womens against Hornsby. But the thing here is, it was the way the Rugby

4 was played and then celebrated with this great club. On the field, Terrigal had a great start to the first half of the game leading by 31 points, however, Hornsby had renewed vigour in the second half scoring 12 points against Terrigal s 5. Hornsby showed heaps of spirit, however, Terrigal was well represented with best players being Kris Diebert, who had his first match in First Grade for a few seasons, Vaughan Kernan, Joe Taylor and centre, Dylon Calabria. Well done guys! In the Seconds, Terrigal brought back some razzle dazzle scoring some great team tries and eventually running the Hornsby side off their feet. Great rugby guys. Our Colts also made history when they played Newcastle side, Hamilton, at The Haven. The Trojans were always in touch but let Hamilton get away at the end. Good effort boys! First Grade Celebration

6 Hamilton Colts warming up TROJAN WOMENS RUGBY History was made at The Haven last Saturday with the first game of Womens Competition Rugby played at The Haven. Both the Terrigal girls and Hornsby were brilliant and didn t they put on a fantastic display of rugby. With the siren sounded Terrigal was down on the scoreboard. The Terrigal girls secured the ball and passed it out along their back line to Elise Connolly who sprinted around the opposition to score under the posts and secure the match This was a match really worth watching and the second match was of the same quality, again won by Terrigal. After their match the girls clapped our Senior teams onto the ground and joined us at the speeches and Mexican night in the Clubhouse. Great Rugby Girls!

This was the first time the women of both clubs joined our boat race and what an effort! Ethan started well and then Samara sprinted through her schooner. Once ahead Frankie and Datey were always going to bring it home and claim victory.

9 CONGRATULATIONS ON 100TH GAME JOE TAYLOR Trojan and representative player, Joe Taylor, notched up 100 games with the Trojans last week. Joe is a great Trojan and very worthy of this milestone. Well done Joey! MEXICAN NIGHT What a good night last Saturday celebrated with the Hornsby Club. Everyone got into the Mexican theme. Big thanks must go to Guzman Y Gomez for supplying 140 burritos to both the Terrigal and Hornsby Mexicans.
