1 Scheme of Work for BSL Level SCHEME OF WORK SUBJECT OVERVIEW Scheme Title: British Sign Language (BSL) Course: Level Time scale: 14 weeks (depending on the pupil s understanding and progress) Autumn Group G (Cheyenne, Hussian and Nikolas) and H Key subject aims To enable student to: Be able to use BSL to communicate a range of familiar everyday situations and chosen theme Be able to use appropriate signing conventions of familiar everyday situations and a chosen theme Be able to use non manual features Tutor: Ruth Waddams Location/Learning Environment: Oak Lodge School Objectives: Student should be able to: Clear meaning and context Signing pace and flow Signing space Placements and referents Role shift Vocabulary Hand shapes and movement Finger spelling
