Prospect, IL (847) Geographic Region: North & NW Suburbs of 9 NSSEO DHH Program provides programs for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing at the following schools: Forest Elementary School (preschool through 5th grade), MacArthur Middle School (6th through 8th grade), and John Hersey High School (9th through 12th grade). NSSEO serves 44 school districts in the north and northwest suburbs of Chicago and provides itinerant services to the following districts: In Cook Co. Districts # 21, 23, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 57, 59, 62, 63, 64, 65, 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 73.5, 74, 202, 203, 207, 211, 214, 219, and 225 In Lake Co. Districts # 65, 67, 106, 109, 112, 113, and 115. NSSEO DHH Program also provides full diagnostic services, including audiologic, behavioral, speech /language, cognitive and academic evaluation, to students in its member districts. Sheridan Road Waukegan, IL (847) The Waukegan Public School's Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program provides services for students from 3 to 21 in a variety of settings including inclusive, itinerant, resource and self-contained. The preschool program is housed at AOEC Preschool, K-5 at Oakdale School, 6-8 at Jack Benny Middle School and 9-12 at Waukegan High School. Early intervention groups are also available on site. Judd St. (815) Geographic Region: Far North East Illinois Woodstock Community Unit School District 200 offers a self contained elementary classroom for McHenry County students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing at Olson Elementary. The classroom utilizes Total Communication and Visual Phonics. At this time students are served in a 1st through 5th grade building with the possibility of the program expanding in the future.
