1 Updated May 1, 2018 Case Number /30/2018 at 11:33 pm Rte. 41 and Old Elm Road Possession of Drug paraphernalia Subject(s) Ansari, Mohammed Z., male, age 25, 6150 N. Mozart, Chicago, IL /13/2018 at 9:00 am Police on routine patrol in the area of Rte. 60 and Rte. 41 conducted a traffic stop on a 2012 Nissan for an observed equipment violation and speeding (70/55).Police stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver, Ansari, about why he was stopped. While speaking to Ansari, officers observed drug paraphernalia in the back seat area of the vehicle and requested Ansari exit the vehicle. Officers located an additional glass pipe and grinder in the front passenger area. Ansari was arrested, charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and released with a June hearing date. Case Number /29/2018 at 5:36 pm Rte. 41 and Old Elm Road Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol $3000 Subject(s) Preister, Carla R., female, age 42, 1401 Greenfield Ave. #1 South, North Chicago, IL /25/2018 at 9:00 am Police on routine patrol responded to a 911 call concerning a silver sedan traveling north on Rte. 41 at a high rate of speed. Police located the vehicle, conducted a traffic stop, and spoke with the driver, Preister. When officers spoke to Preister, they smelled the odor of alcohol from her breath and she was displaying signs of alcohol impairment. Officers requested Preister submit to a standard field sobriety test and after performing the test, she was subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Presiter was processed, refused to submit to alcohol testing, was released on bond, and given a June court date. Case Number /28/2018 at 9:11 pm Deerpath and Hastings Driving while License Suspended $ /05/2018 at 1:30 pm Subject(s) Marungo Ochoa, Joaquin, male, age 48, 2822 N. Lawndale, Chicago, IL Police on routine patrol conducted a traffic stop on a 2010 Toyota after observing the vehicle having an equipment violation. The Toyota was stopped and officers spoke to the driver, identified as Marungo Ochoa, who stated his driver s license was very expired. Officers confirmed Marungo Ochoa s driver s license was currently suspended. Marungo Ochoa was arrested, charged with Driving While License Suspended, processed, and released on bond with a June court date.

Sheridan Road Trespassing, Possession of Cannabis and Drug paraphernalia Subject(s) Kochanowski, Thomas C., male, age 36, 504 Madison St., Batavia, IL /09/2018 at 9:00am Police responded to Lake Forest College after it was reported that campus security had a subject detained who was not a student and the individual was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Police arrived and spoke with Kochanowski, who later admitted to possession of cannabis and to possessing a glass pipe. Kochanowski was issued an citation for illegal control of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. The administrative hearing was set for 05/09/18 at 0900 hours. Kochanowski was released with a trespass warning for Lake Forest College. Updated April 25, 2018 Case Number / /20/2018 Deerpath Middle Sch./LFHS Distracted Driving Enforcement n/a n/a Subject(s) Multiple offenders On April 19 th and 20 th, the Lake Forest Police Department conducted two Distracted Driving Enforcement operations in the area of two school zones, one at Deerpath Middle School and one at Lake Forest High School. This enforcement action was part of the Illinois Department of Transportation s Distracted Driver Traffic Safety campaign. Funding for this traffic safety operation was made possible through a grant provided by the U.S. Department of Transportation and the National Highway Administration. During these two operations, Lake Forest Police officers issued 34 citations and 13 warnings for motorist using cell phones while driving. Case Number /24/2018 at 4:34 pm 890 Western Ave. Retail Theft $120 06/05/2018 at 1:30 pm Subject(s) Arden, Niklas D., male, age 34, 2729 Enoch Ave., Zion, IL Police responded to the Jewel grocery store after employees reported a male, white individual wearing a gray coat and tan pants stole a bottle of liquor and left the store without paying. Police located the suspect as he was getting into a white Ford Escort wagon and detained the subject, later identified as Arden, pending further investigation of the incident. Based on testimony by Jewel employees and video evidence, Arden was charged with Retail Theft. He was processed, released on bond, and given a June court date.
3 Case Number /22/2018 at 5:05 pm 700 blk Green Briar Domestic Battery n/a TBD Subject(s) Juvenile, male, age 17, Lake Forest IL Police responded to a residence in the 700 block of Green Briar on a report of a domestic incident that was in progress. Officers at that location detained a male juvenile who it was alleged had committed domestic battery against a family member. Police interviewed all parties, took photos of visible injuries, and subsequently took the male juvenile into custody and transported him to the Public Safety Building for further investigation. The male juvenile was eventually turned over to a family member and charges will be reviewed with the Lake County State s attorney for a juvenile referral. Case Number /20/2018 at 1:10 am Westleigh and Red Fox Driving Under the Influence, Speeding and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Subject(s) Crespo, Gabriela D., female, age 24, 104 Washington Road, Lake Forest IL $ /01/2018 at 9:00 am Officers on routine patrol observed a vehicle traveling east on Westleigh at a high rate of speed. Officers conducted a traffic stop and spoke to the driver, Crespo, who was the sole occupant. While speaking to Crespo officers smelled the odor of alcohol coming from the car and Crespo was displaying obvious signs of impairment. Officers conducted roadside sobriety test and Crespo was subsequently arrested for DUI. Officers located two items of drug paraphernalia in Crespo s vehicle. At the PSB Crespo submitted to chemical testing and a reading of BAC was registered. Crespo was charged with Driving Under the Influence, Speeding, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, released on bond, and given a June court date. Case Number /17/2018 at 12:16 am Rte. 60 and Waukegan Road Driving While License Suspended and Speeding $ /15/2018 at 3:00pm Subject(s) Velasquez, Luis E., male, age 28, 1685 Sunset Road, Highland Park IL Police on patrol observed a vehicle operated by Velasquez operating at a high rate of speed. Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and subsequently determined Velasquez s driver s license was suspended. He was placed under arrest, transported to the Public Safety Building where he was processed, released on bond, and given a May court date.

Sheridan Road Minor Consumption/Possession of Alcohol Subject(s) Peters, Devin D., male, age 18, 825 Jeanette, Des Plaines IL /09/2018 at 9:00 am Police were called to Lake Forest College Nollen Hall, after it was reported a male subject was intoxicated and vomiting at that location. Police located Peters and, after confirming he was extremely intoxicated, Peters was transported by the Lake Forest Fire Department to the hospital for treatment. Peters was issued an administrative hearing citation for Minor Consumption, given a May hearing date, and released. Case Number /15/2018 at 12:47 am 555 N. Sheridan Road Minor Consumption/Possession of Alcohol Subject(s) Dodd, Alexander V., male, age 19, 1508 Palomino Dr., McHenry IL Lowery, Kaitlyn P., female, age 20, 4703 Glenbrook Trl., McHenry IL /9/2018 at 9:00 am Police were called to Lake Forest College by Campus Security after having contact with two intoxicated individuals on campus who were not students. Police met with both subjects, who admitted to consuming alcohol on campus, and confirmed both were under 21 years of age. Dodd and Lowery were issued administrative hearing citations for Minor Consumption, given a May hearing date, and released. Case Number /12/2018 AT 3:17 AM Green Bay Road and Woodland Road Driving While License Revoked $ /15/2018 at 1:30 pm Subject(s) West, Ward W., male, age 27, 1717 Sunset Ave. #6, Waukegan IL Police on routine patrol conducted a traffic stop on a 2003 black Oldsmobile for an equipment violation. When officers approached the vehicle and spoke to the driver, West, they determined his driver s license had been revoked. West was arrested on scene, charged with Driving While License Revoked, processed, and released on bond. He was given a May court date.
5 Case Number /11/2018 at 10:34 am 1300 block North Western Ave. Harassment $30000 Subject(s) Schloemer, Jay R., male, age 48, 1301 N. Western Ave., Lake Forest IL /13/2018 at 1:30 pm C 405 Lake Forest Detectives arrested Schloemer on a Lake County warrant for Electronic Harassment after Schloemer continued to repeatedly send harassing s of an offensive nature to City employees, City staff, elected officials, and members of the Lake County judicial system. Lake Forest Detectives were able to determine Schloemer sent more than 450 s in a 6 month time period. He was transported to the Lake County Jail where he was held on a $25000 bond pending a hearing on April 13, 2018 at 1:30 pm. Updated April 13, 2018 Case Number /08/2018 at 2:13 am Deerpath and Hastings Speeding (51/35), Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, Zero Tolerance/Minor Consumption of Alcohol Subject(s) Kerouac, Landon S., male, age 19, 314 W. Hawthorne, Lake Bluff IL $160 06/05/2018 at 1:30 pm Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Deerpath and Hastings after observing the vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. When officers approached the vehicle and spoke to the driver, Kerouac, they detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from Kerouac. Kerouac admitted to drinking earlier in the evening and officers also observed an open bottle of alcohol in the passenger area. Kerouac was taken into custody, subsequently provided a breath sample of 0.11 and was charged with Speeding (51/35), Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, Zero Tolerance/Minor Consumption of Alcohol. He was released on bond and given a June court date. Case Number /08/2018 at 1:28 am Rte. 41 and Westleigh Road Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol $ /01/2018 at 9:00 am Subject(s) Gregory, Royce W., male, age 21, 1181 Timber Lane, Lake Forest IL Police on routine patrol in the area of Rte. 41 observed a blue Ford Explorer driving 10 mph under the posted speed limit and swerving outside of the travel lane. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Gregory, who was the sole occupant in the vehicle. While speaking to Gregory officers smelled the odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle and Gregory was displaying obvious signs of intoxication. While speaking to officers on scene Gregory admitted to consuming 2 3 beers within the last hour. Officers also observed an open case of beer in
6 the front passenger floorboard along with several empty beer cans. Gregory was asked to submit to several field sobriety test and based on his performance, admissions to drinking, officer s observations and Gregory s driving, and he was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Gregory was transported to the Public Safety Building, processed, and released on bond with June court date. Case Number /07/2018 at 1:35 pm 200 block of Illinois Road Aggravated Domestic Battery and Unlawful Restraint $ Subject(s) Gallas, Brian R., male, age 28, 2224 Milton Ave in Park Ridge, IL /25/2018 at 0900 C 120 Waukegan Lake Forest Police were contacted by Skokie Police after a female victim was treated at a local hospital for injuries she sustained as the result of a serious assault by a male individual who she was in a relationship with. Police interviewed the female and, based on the information obtained from her, began a search for the offender, who was identified as Gallas. Police were able to locate Gallas at the Deerpath Inn and he was taken into custody. Police continued to investigate the incident and, after consulting with the Lake County States Attorney s Office, Gallas was charged with Aggravated Domestic Battery and Unlawful Restraint. He was processed, transported to Lake County jail and, after having a bond hearing, was held under a $250,000 bond. He has an April 25, 2018 court date. Case Number /05/2018 at 9:45 am 200 Blk. Green Bay Road Driving While License Suspended $1500 Subject(s) Vogtman, Benjamin S., male, age 27, 3510 Stonegate Road, Waukegan, IL /15/2018 at 3:00 pm Police were called to the scene of a property damage accident in the 200 block of Green Bay Road. Police were informed that a 2001 Buick and a GMC truck had crashed and airbags had been deployed. When police arrived on scene, and after speaking to both drivers, they learned the driver of the Buick, Vogtman, was driving on a suspended license. Vogtman was subsequently arrested and charged with Driving While License Suspended, processed, and released on bond with a May court date. Updated April 5, 2018 Case Number /01/2018 at 2:13 am Rte. 41 and Westleigh Road Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Possession of Cannabis (Class A misdemeanor) Subject(s) Clare, Jermaine L., male, age 35, 5516 S Princeton Ave., Chicago, IL $ /14/2018 at 9:00 am
7 Police on routine patrol observed a vehicle driving south on Rte. 41 at Westleigh Road with a popped front driver s side tire; the vehicle was swerving across the lanes. After conducting a stop officers met with the driver, Clare, who was the only occupant of the vehicle. While speaking with Clare, officers on scene detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. Clare confirmed he had consumed two beers. Officers requested Clare to submit to several field sobriety tests which he failed to complete satisfactorily. Based on the observations by officers, the observed driving and the field sobriety test, Clare was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Officers also located a large quantity of cannabis in Clare s vehicle. During processing, Clare provided a breath sample that resulted in a BAC. Clare was issued citations for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Possession of Cannabis (Class A Misdemeanor). Clare was processed, released on bond, and given a May court date.
