The recent additions of caries risk codes to the Code on Dental Procedures and Nomenclature (CDT Codes) are changing the way offices communicate with patients and how insurance carriers are paying for targeted prevention. The three new Diagnostic codes are D0601- low caries risk, D moderate risk and D high risk.
