8 STATEMENT ABOUT TEACHING/PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY AND SIGNIFICANCE OF PROFESSIONAL CONTRIBUTION During my residency program in Orthodontics at the Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, I was trained in excellent and ethical clinical practice and research work along with teaching of BDS students. After my residency program, I am involved in teaching of both undergraduate and postgraduate dental students and research as a faculty member in the department of Orthodontics and Dental Anatomy at Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. I believe that for the faculty in medical/dental academic institution, He/She must has ability to do excellent clinical work, teaching and ethical research, in which my residency program trained me rigorously. One thing I want to add that medical professional working in apex center must be simplify treatment to make it cost effective without compromising the quality to provide the best contemporary medical/dental treatment to all section of society of our country. Keeping in mind, I have innovated the: Modified Fixed Nanobite Tandem Appliance (MFNTA) for the Rapid correction of developing Class III malocclusion. MFNTA is under consideration for patent in Indian patent office, New Delhi (Application no.-802/del/2012) and which has been published in the journal with title, Orthodontics: The Art and Practice of Dentofacial Enhancement 2013;14:e178 e185. (Medline indexed, USA). A simple wire design to protect the gums during inter-proximal stripping, which has been published in the journal with title, Dental Hypothesis 2013;4:26-27 (USA). A simple chairside procedure to fabricate the multipurpose power arm, which has been accepted for the publication in Journal of Clinical Orthodontics (Medline indexed, USA). I have published/ accepted for publication more than 25 papers in international and national repute scientific journals and I am honorary donating the time for reviewing the manuscripts for many scientific journals for the development of our profession. My paper titled, Miniscrew Implant Supported Sliding Jig Distalization System (MISSJDS) was accepted for presentation in 4th world Implant Orthodontics congress at Sydney in Australia on 10th to 13th October I have attended more than 30 workshops/ Conference/ CDE.
