3 CAD/CAM SYSTEMS Renaming of spindle motor and milling unit parts The descriptions of the following four parts have been modified with immediate effect: Old description NEW description REF. 4 Change to the scope of delivery of the CEREC MC XL Premium Package In the course of introducing the milling function, the scope of delivery of the CEREC MC XL Premium Package was changed on November 4 in order to integrate the necessary accessories. The next software update, which is expected mid-2014, will allow "milling" to be operated from a CEREC AC. The milling function requires inlab with the inlab SW Service Pack. This cannot yet be run on CEREC imaging units, therefore the milling process cannot be started using a CEREC imaging unit, only an inlab PC. This must also be noted for upgrading older inlab and MC XL machines. Change to Starter Set 6 Starter Set 6 now contains the following: 1x Shaper 25 RZ and 1x Finisher 10 1x Step Bur 20 and 1x Cylinder Pointer Bur 20 1x Step Bur 12S and 1x Cylinder Pointed Bur 12S No changes have been made to Starter Set 4, which is delivered with CEREC MC, CEREC MC X and CEREC MC XL milling machines. HT torque wrench The new HT torque wrench, which is necessary for using the Shaper 25 RZ, has been added to the scope of delivery. The torque wrench can be ordered separately for CEREC MC, CEREC MC X and CEREC MC XL devices (see below for order information). Foam insert in the left drawer The foam insert in the left drawer has been adjusted to make more room for the HT torque wrench, among other things. The drawer insert will also be changed for the CEREC MC, CEREC MC X and CEREC MC XL devices. 01/ January 2014

6 Milling of zirconia and plastic Zirconia and plastic can be milled with the inlab SW Service Pack if a physical model has been scanned with an extraoral scanner (e.g., ineos X5 or ineos Blue) or if a virtual model has been imported in the inlab software using the Sirona Connect workflow. Advantages of zirconia: Sharp edges, no chipping Smaller milling points Saves on material when processing with Stack software, as less material is milled away than with grinding Advantages of plastic: More stable processing Quicker processing times Shiny surface Saves on material when processing with Stack software, as less material is milled away than with grinding Limitations of milling: incoris ZI Meso is still ground in this version. The milling process for this will be installed in a later version incoris CC and Crypton are still ground The milling function requires inlab with the inlab SW Service Pack. 7 New accessories for milling zirconia and plastic A new roughing cutter has been developed for milling, the Shaper 25 RZ (RZ = Resin and Zirconia). The finishing cutter is the Finisher 10, known from model milling. For the manufacturing process, the Shaper 25 RZ is inserted in the left spindle motor and Finisher 10 in the right motor. For machines with 4 motors, these milling tools will only be inserted in motor set 1. Description REF. EUR excl. VAT Pr. Gr. VP Shaper 25 RZ VP Finisher 10* * already known for milling models The Shaper 25 RZ requires a higher torque than all other grinding and milling instruments. Therefore, a new torque wrench is available for the Shaper 25 RZ, the HT torque wrench (HT = high torque) Description REF. EUR excl. VAT Pr. Gr. HT torque wrench Hardware requirements: A new spindle motor has been developed which is necessary to allow the user to mill. In order to avoid misunderstandings, the milling function is deactivated when executing the standard installation of the software. When the milling function is activated, customers will be notified during configuration that milling is only possible under certain conditions: 01/ January 2014

With machines with 4 motors, it is the left spindle motor in motor set 1, with machines with two motors, it is the left spindle motor. We offer corresponding starter kits to replace spindle motors.
