9 HOW DOES IT WORK? YOUR CONDOR INTRA-ORAL SCANNER IS DELIVERED WITH: Computer Condor User Interface USB key Ready to use, the Condor is the smallest and lightest intra-oral scanner on the market. Easy to use, the scanning unit consists of two cameras, integrated LEDs, and a blue light system for video capture. 7 to 22 mm of distance between the teeth and the handpiece in mouth part of the scanner are required for an optimal dental impression. HOW MANY 3D IMAGES CAN BE STORED WHEN USING THE CONDOR INTRA-ORAL SCANNER? The number of 3D images that can be stored are based on the PC s hard disc capacity. But it is easy to export the files to an external hard disk or server. WHAT TYPE OF IMAGES CAN BE STORED? The Condor operating system generates as output an open.stl or.ply file. HOW CAN BE THE DATA SHARED WITH DENTAL LABS OR PEERS? The.stl or.ply output is easily sent by , uploaded on a portal or ftp-server, or any other method used by your practice due to it being built on the Linux Operating System. CAN A DENTAL LAB USE THE DATA IN THEIR CAD APPLICATION? If the dental CAD Software used by the lab allows importing an open.stl file, the Condor output can be used easily to design various restorations or appliances (braces, veneers, surgical guides, crowns and bridges, etc.). 13

14 WHAT IS AN OPEN SYSTEM OR OPEN.STL FILE? An open system allows importing data from compatible third party software and also generating an open output file. The most common 3D file format for dental CAD CAM is an.stl file. Open.stl file means, that there is no additional encodings and the compatibility is warrantied. IS THE CONDOR SCANNER ABLE TO CONNECT WITH A MILLING MACHINE? In principle there is no limitation. The Condor data output can be used in an open CAD CAM application. The designed file can be sent then to a milling machine or 3D printer. WITH WHICH OPERATING SYSTEM, THE CONDOR COMPATIBLE? To ensure quality and optimal scanning speed, the Condor intra-oral scanner unit is provided with a powerful Linux laptop. HOW DOES THE CONDOR INTRA-ORAL SCANNER WORK WITH A PC? For high speed data transfer, the Condor intra-oral scanner connects directly to the PC with USB 3.0 port without the need for a docking station or an additional power cable.
