4 OBJECTIVE Realize transparent aligners from digital impressions. It is necessary to perform 6 scans: 2 maxillary hemi-arches Left Right 2 mandibular hemi-arches Left Right 2 bite registrations Left Right 4

5 CONDOR SCAN PROTOCOL 1. Login to your Condor account 2. Click on «New Patient» or select an existing patient from the list. or Click on «New work» 5

Start the scanning stage by creating 2 subfolders: RIGHT subfolder: Once the «Right» subfolder is created, start the right-side scanning stages of the: Maxillary hemi-arch Mandibular hemi-arch Bite registration Important: For maxillary and mandibular, please scan at least 2 additional teeth with the hemi arch to ensure the accuracy of the scan. Right maxillary Right mandibular Registration bite (from tooth no. 27 to tooth no. 12) (from tooth no. 47 to tooth no. 32) 6

7 LEFT subfolder: Once the «Left» subfolder is created, start the left-side scanning stages of the: Maxillary hemi-arch Mandibular hemi-arch Bite registration Important: For maxillary and mandibular, please scan at least 2 additional teeths with the hemi arch to ensure the accuracy of the scan. 8 4. Sending files Once the hemi-arches and registration bite are scanned, the.stl files will have to be downloaded with bases and saved on your desktop. Then, the files can be sent directly to Smilers via wetransfer.com, to the following address Coming soon: Download of 6.stl files directly to your Smilers account. RECOMMENDATIONS Fog The formation of fog damages the scanning quality. To prevent condensation, wait around 1minute for the camera to reach the right temperature. Saliva Saliva can severely compromise the camera s acquisition capability. It is therefore recommended to use a surgical assistant to aspirate saliva (Capodent) in order to minimize the formation of saliva. Access to the working area The lack of visibility can have a negative impact on the molars scan (teeth no. 17, 27, 37 and 47). It is therefore necessary to use the camera without guide in these reduced areas to facilitate access. Important In order to produce high quality aligners, it is essential that the limits and the teeth volume are perfectly defined. The.stl view makes it possible to clearly distinguish important areas, especially collars and cusps. Before uploading the files on your patient s file, a complete check of each scan must be carried out to prevent certain potential imperfections, such as imprecise areas due to a lack of scanning. 8
