5 How to Build a Workout using the Vibrotec More results in less time Vibrotec Vibration Trainer is like the microwave of fitness you can do as little as 10 minutes and still get the benefits of working out in the gym for an hour. Start gradually Just like a normal work out, the best way to train is by gradually increasing the frequency. Beginners are advised to start with a few minutes of the resistance programme, followed by some stretches on the lower amplitude settings. Stand correctly In order to develop strength, power, muscle tone and definition, it is essential to adopt a position that puts tension on the muscles. For example, if you re in the squat position, have your knees bent and lean from the hips, as if you are about to sit on a chair. Keep your workout short Although everyone is different, it s usually enough to start with no more than 30 to 60 seconds on each exercise. This will reduce the duration of the workout, which is a real bonus for people who are time-short but crave results. Keep your workout short Try to choose a combination of compound exercises (such as squats and push-ups, which use more than one muscle group) and isolation exercises (biceps curls and front raises). You ll get a better training response, as well as increasing potential calorie burn. Mixing it up also keeps it interesting. Excercise Techniques The Vibration platform utilises your body's own reflexes to exercise your muscles in a convenient non-aerobic manner. The Vibration platform accomplishes this best when you are in a pressure position, such as a squat posture, and your muscles are already working to keep you in that position. As the Vibro Plate rapidly oscillates, your muscles automatically make small rapid contractions to maintain your body s stance. Your muscles are thereby flexed and contracted in minute movements, exercising efficiently and gently. You will find the Vibration platform extremely effective when used in one of the recommended positions shown below. Whole-body-excercise Stand firmly on the plate with your feet flat and shoulder width apart. This stance aids overall tone and circulation. Squat Posture With feet firmly on the platform and shoulder width apart, squat 90 degrees and hold this position for a great quadriceps, gluteus and lower core workout. Press-Up posture Place your hands should width apart on the edge of the machine. Stretch your body prone along the floor and raise yourself up on your toes, keeping your arms straight. Holding this position will tone your arms and workout your core. Bend your arms 90⁰ and hold that position for a more intense work out. Programs The majority of plates come with their own programmes. These are specifically designed workouts that will control your machine and automatically alter the settings to save you having to press the button yourself. Vibrotec has various manual programs as well as pre-set programs giving you plenty of options so you never get bored therefore increasing the variation of the workouts. Power legs posture Place your calves on the plate, hip width apart as shown. Place your hands on the floor behind you to support yourself. For a more intense work out raise and hold your buttocks. Page 9 Page 10
6 Excercise Techniques Part 2 You will get the best results if you bend your supporting legs or arms as shown, as it switches on the muscles, which enables them to work more efficiently. The Vibration platform can also be used as a general massager to ease muscle pain and improve circulation. This effect is achieved by not pressing down on the platform, but simply placing your arms or legs on it and letting the Vibration platform do the work for you. For a complete workout use a combination of several different postures for a few minutes each. Waist Bend posture Bending from the waist, keeping your legs straight, place your hands firmly on the centre of the plate to tone your arms and core. Bending your arms will give you a more intense exercise. Single-foot posture Stand back from the Vibrotec Platform, lunge forward, and place one foot in the centre of the plate. Hold the position and bend your knee up and down for a more intensive quadriceps workout. Sitting Posture 1 Sit comfortably in a cross legged position in the middle of the platform, keeping your back straight. This will aid tension and relaxation. FAQ s As with any exercise program, there are steps that you should follow: How often should I exercise? You should do no more than 3 exercise sessions in a day. Each session should be no longer than 20 minutes. What makes the Vibrotec different? Vibrotec Whole Body Vibration Training machines generate involuntary contractions in the muscle fibre several times a second which increases metabolism and this in turn leads to fat loss, weight reduction, cellulite reduction and improved circulation. Aside from the original intended benefits of increased bone density and muscle strength, the first advantages many users notice are dramatically increased flexibility and range of motion. How can I increase the intensity of my work out? Extend the time of each exercise Reduce the rest time between exercises Add extra exercises Increase the frequency, remembering no more than 3 sessions per day. Sitting Posture 2 Place a chair in front of the Vibrotec Vibration Platform and sitting on the chair, place your feet firmly in the centre of the platform. Ensure your knees are at 90⁰. This will aid vascular circulation and ease tired legs. Page 11 Page 12
