2 Preface Dear Colleagues, We are excited to hold again this year the practical workshop on endoscopic sinus- and rhino-surgery in cooperation with Prof. Jens Waschke of the Anatomic Institute of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. This workshop will teach you the basic techniques of functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) as developed by the Graz School through practice-oriented lectures and guest speakers from around the world. Each block of lectures will be accompanied by practical sessions on cadavers. In small groups and under the supervision of one of the experienced lecturers you will be able to practice the techniques and anatomical approaches step by step, such as endoscopic septoplasty, FESS, endoscopic skull base surgery techniques among others. The workshop will be supplemented by practical sessions on instruments and many anatomical and clinically relevant videoclips, as well as additional written materials and lecture notes. This course is certified by the German Society of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology Head and Neck Surgery. We are looking forward to welcoming you to the workshop! Andreas Leunig
