2 Questions from February 12 Council Meeting How is cannabis sales revenue being shared? It is not known at this time. Does Port Moody need to have retail cannabis stores to get a portion of that revenue? It is not known at this time however, staff expect the revenue will be shared on a per capita basis, regardless of having retail stores. Why are we not recommending cannabis sales in established retail liquor stores? The Province does not permit cannabis to be sold in the same store as liquor.
3 Recommended Approach Allow retail cannabis stores in the City of Port Moody subject to a successful rezoning application and cannabis retail licence from the Provincial Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch Require a 75-metre buffer distance between retail cannabis stores and sensitive uses and define these sensitive uses as: schools, playgrounds, and community centres Consider a 200-metre buffer between retail cannabis store locations Require additional business licence regulations in addition to the basic Provincial requirements

11 Buffer Distance Between Cannabis Retail Stores and Sensitive Uses The majority of survey respondents agreed that land use guidelines should include buffer distances between cannabis retail stores and sensitive uses such as schools, playgrounds, daycares, and community centres. 11
