1 Learn The Benchmarks of a Superior Fulvic or Humic Product The following Quality Benchmarks are probably the Most Important to consider when choosing a Superior-Quality Fulvic Acid Product are the following: Benchmarks 1. Concentration and Effective Dose of Fulvic (Remember, the Effective Dose is a function of both Concentration and how much you take. For example, if you can take a very small amount (5-7 drops) of even the Highest - Concentrated product you would not get very much Fulvic. 2. Quality of Raw Materials The quality of Raw Materials dictate the quality of the finished product. 3. How and Where Products are Produced - a State-of-the-Art Production Facility with Experienced Personnel Using Modern Production Processes and Equipment. 4. USDA Registered Organic 5. A Price that is Affordable, all things being equal. Benchmark #1: Concentration and Effective Dose There are two aspects of a product s Fulvic or Humic concentration that are critical to understand and review and are discussed here: The concentration of a product (how much Humic and/or Fulvic is in a liquid or powder), And, how much of it are you taking every day (the effective daily dose) which is a function of both concentration and the amount you take. You can be taking a very concentrated product, but if you are taking a small amount, you may not be getting very much Fulvic. First, it is critical to understand the 100% in a product advertised as 100% Fulvic Acid has nothing to do with its concentration. The "100%" refers to the following: Humic Acid contains several molecules, including Fulvic, which naturally occur together. When Fulvic is separated from the other Humic acids, it is at that point it is called a 100% Fulvic Acid product, or a 100% Fulvic Acid in Solution product. How much Fulvic acid is dissolved in the water (or whatever else was used to separate or dilute it) of the 100% Fulvic Acid Product, is the concentration. 1

2 There are many ways to express concentration numerically and they are interchangeable which can make things confusing. The Concentration of a Superior quality 100% Fulvic Acid product should contain at least 10% Fulvic in solution, 10% Fulvic in Solution is also expressed as 100,000 parts per million (100,000 ppm) of Fulvic (ppm is shorthand notation for Parts Per Million) in ONE OUNCE DAILY don t forget the one ounce amount. Remember not to get confused that the "100%" in the term 100% Fulvic Acid refers to concentration. The 100% means that only Fulvic is in the solution because it has been separated from the other Humic molecules. How much Fulvic is in the solution is the concentration concentration varies widely in the marketplace. Second, a Product s Concentration is not the only consideration when determining how much Fulvic you are receiving everyday. How much of a product you are taking per day (EFFECTIVE DAILY DOSE) also affects how much Fulvic you are receiving each day. In other words, taking ½ ounce of a 100% Fulvic product with a concentration of 10% (100,000 ppm) is not the same as taking 1 ounce of a product with the same concentration of 10% (100,000 ppm). In this example, even though both products have the same concentration you would receive less Fulvic by taking only ½ an ounce versus a full one ounce. 2

The monthly cost for Product #1 to achieve a Superior Quality Concentration and Effective Dose would again be $ and you would need to purchase 3.43 bottles each month. 8 These powder delivery systems are exciting because the Humic and Fulvic retain their activity because of how they are produced. It took almost 2 years to refine these processes. The products can be shipped more economically for the customer, especially international customers. It is also more convenient for people who travel. A minimum of 36 grams (36,000 mg) of Pure Fulvic per month is the Gold Standard Mother Earth Labs has adopted. That's at least 36 grams of Pure Fulvic-- not pure Fulvic and filler that total 36 grams. It is important to note that the use of an appropriate filler is not bad for capsules or tablets, its bad when the weight of the filler is included to achieve the minimum weight of 36 grams. Bulk powder should not be sold with fillers, unless it is requested by the customer. Powder should contain at least a minimum of 80% Fulvic. Care should be taken that you are receiving at least 36 grams of pure Fulvic powder in your capsules or tablets every month, not 2.1 grams (2,100 milligrams) of Fulvic per month. This small amount is the amount you would receive by taking a Superior Quality product for only 1-1/2 days. Benchmark #2: Source of Raw Humic Materials A Superior-Quality Humic and Fulvic Product can only be produced from superior-quality raw materials. High quality raw materials have a high Humic and Fulvic content and are free from toxins or impurities such as pollution, chemicals, heavy metals, pesticides, or fertilizers. The best sources of Raw Materials are from deposits that were originally beds of ancient lakes and estuaries during the late Cretaceous Period that are distant from large population centers where ground waters are still pure. It is sad to say, there are only a handful of these left in the World. Deposits contain a massive quantity of plant material that has been compressed over millions of years. It would be impossible to duplicate this quantity using Plant Sources alive today to produce highly concentrated Humic and Fulvic. Technical advances have enabled us to utilize these deposits and produce high-quality Humic and Fulvic products to support Human Health. 8

9 Deposits created from ancient lakes and estuaries are superior to deposits created by marine saltwater bodies because the average molecular weight of the Humic/Fulvic molecules is lower which results in greater Biological activity, and there are fewer impurities. Lower Average Molecular weight indicates a greater Fulvic concentration. A good example of greater biological activity resulting from a lower average molecular weight and thus a greater Fulvic concentration is increased cell membrane permeability. With a higher Fulvic concentration, more nutrients can get into cells through the cell membrane to support metabolic reactions and functions, and waste products normally produced in metabolic reactions inside the cell can be transported outside the cells through the membrane so they don't build up and become toxic inside the cell. Mother Earth Labs Fulvic and Humic/Fulvic products are derived from Humic deposits located in the wilderness Fruitland Formation of North America-well known to be the best in North America and among the finest and most sought after Humate deposits in the world because of its very rich Fulvic content, its low average molecular weight, and its purity. The Fruitland Formation is a pristine, remote mountainous wilderness area in Northwest New Mexico. It is very far from any metropolitan area and not downwind of coal-burning power plants that eject mercury and other heavy metals into in air. Many Northern U.S., Southern and Southeastern US, Asian and European deposits are slack (oxidized) lignite, also called Leonardite. These deposits are salt water-derived and contain a smaller Fulvic fraction. A smaller Fulvic fraction increases the average molecular weight which significantly reduces bioactivity. Contamination with toxic substances can be a concern with Southern and Eastern U.S. and many Canadian deposits because they are derived from coal-based humates. Also, Southern and Eastern deposits are more likely downwind from coal-burning power plants and typically have detectable levels of heavy metals and other impurities. Interestingly contracts for Fruitland deposits are all taken. They no longer available and haven t been for some time to new individuals or groups. Sometimes manufacturers or distributor groups develop marketing campaigns try to discredit Fruitland deposits, as well as any other deposit other than their own. Sometimes these campaigns are very persuasive on the surface such as UTube specific gravity demonstrations comparing very concentrated salt-added Fulvic solutions to very dilute Fruitland Fulvic solutions. Based on materials testing, the comparisons made and conclusions put forth are unfounded. Perhaps the inability to acquire Superiorquality ore makes it more likely groups would feel the need to mislead. 9

10 Carbon content in products from the Fruitland Formation is another example of misinformation used by a company that sells just a 100% Fulvic product. Humic and Fulvic molecules have carbon atoms. Heavier Humic molecules have more carbon than Fulvic molecules. When a product has all the Humic molecules including Fulvic, there is more carbon than a product that is just Fulvic alone. All the Humic molecules work synergistically together. Having Humic molecules in a product is a good thing. However, the Fulvic concentrations must be high enough to meet concentration Benchmarks. Most Humic products do not have high Fulvic concentrations naturally. Super-Concentrated Fulvic is blended with Humic to achieve very high Fulvic concentration in all of Mother Earth Labs Humic/Fulvic product line. Benchmark 3. Products are Produced in a State-ofthe-Art Production Facility, with Experienced Personnel Using Modern Production Processes Most people would prefer to purchase health supplement products from companies with technically and scientifically competent personnel who are involved in all stages from manufacture to packaging to delivery.
