1 PPA NATIVE PLANT SALE 2016 PLANT HABITAT LISTS Use these lists to find the best plants for your property. If you live in the Pine Barrens, the best choices for your home are listed in the Pine Barrens category. If you live in South Jersey outside of the Pine Barrens, the best choices are in the South Jersey category. If you live on the edge of the Pine Barrens, choose plants from either Pine Barrens or South Jersey that best meet your soil and sunlight conditions. Plants are also listed according to soil moisture requirements, shade tolerance, for ground cover, for ornamental flowers or fruits, for pollinator gardens, and deer resistance. Please be sure to review the local habitat requirements regarding sun, moisture, and soil type for each plant species, provided on the PPA Native Plant Sale Price List. These requirements are just as important to the successful establishment of your plants as the broader geographical habitats as described above.
