Mrs Helen Hughes is setting up a Radiology engagement group, Dr Jay Nankani will co-ordinate this and Dr Liz Bowen and Dr Phil White will be GP representatives. Dr Conor Corr outlined the radiology services across the sites. The work load has increased since 2008 up to 2014 by 40%. They plan to increase engagement with GPs. He stated that new guidelines are coming in for CT scanning. Also the CT dose will be decreasing. There will be an advice line for GPs and on site 12 hour scanning. Mr David Davies, North Wales Informatics. Mr Davies stated that the Minister has chaired two informatics board meetings. LIMS (laboratory information management system) will go live in September. The Welsh Clinical Portal implemented in Cwm Taf and Hywel Dda. The WG have agreed a National Repositry for diagnostic results. The portal provides fast access to information about medication, referrals and discharges, allows health professionals to request tests and results from various sources and ultimately improves patient safety and a reliance on paper records.

2 IHR (independent health record) pilot in Cardiff completed highly successful. Electronic referrals next phase pilot in Cardiff and Vale October Procurement of ED system near completion.. The Welsh Care Records will be complete by April. Intelligent audit tool complete by December. Medicines management will be piloted in Glan Clwyd October. GPTRR being piloted in Hywel Dda. Secondary care will view results via WCP. 250 practices have now migrated. Urgent and emergency care pathways are often fragmented and complex, resulting in confusing journeys for many patients.
