1 BASELINE Fraternities and sororities provide basic needs for their members. Requirement Attend Annual FSL Leadership Retreat Chapter has updated bylaws Sign Anti-Hazing Policy Submit New Member Education Calendar Chapter has an advisory board Chapter GPA must be one of the following (avg. 3 terms winter/spring/fall):* o at or above the all men s/all women s average o 3.0 or higher o show improvement from the last review Abide by the following (where applicable): o All local, state and federal laws o UO Student Code of Conduct o IFC/PHC Constitution and Bylaws o IFC/PHC Anti-Hazing Policy o IFC/PHC Risk Management Policy o IFC/PHC Social Policy o IFC/PHC FSJB Bylaws o FIPG Policies o PHC Recruitment Bylaws (if applicable) If Housed: Employ Resident Advisor Facility is alcohol and substance free Participate in Fire and Health Program o Sprinkler System Installed o Annual Fire Inspection (2 if sprinklers are not installed in property) o Annual Health Inspection o Attendance at Annual Fire Academy *Chapters not meeting this requirement will have one year to show improvement. During this year, the chapter will be under a probationary status that restricts the chapter to two social events per term (in accordance with the IFC/PHC Social Policy).

2 LIFELONG CONNECTIONS Fraternity and sorority members are engaged in their experience for a lifetime. Suggestions for Plans Chapter hosts at least one alumni event per year Chapter has an alumni development program for senior members Senior class retains 80% of its membership from initiation Chapter distributes an alumni newsletter (once per year) Chapter will hold at least one event per year to support faculty relations at the University (e.g. scholarship dinner) Chapter holds at least one event per year for family members/parents

3 EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP Fraternity and sorority members are leaders. Suggestions for Plans At least two members attend UIFI and/or LeaderShape and host an interactive workshop for chapter membership upon return 80% of membership is involved in at least one other activity and/or a part-time job Chapter defines leadership roles for each executive officer Chapter hosts a leadership workshop or attends an HLC leadership event/workshop At least one member attends a regional and/or national leadership opportunity (e.g. convention) and holds an interactive workshop for chapter upon return Chapter uses an effective scholarship program

4 INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENTS Fraternity and sorority members develop environments of respect and appreciation for difference. Suggestions for Plans 10% of members participate in an experiential learning trip and hosts an interactive workshop for chapter membership upon return 10% of members study abroad and provide global knowledge to chapter upon their return Chapter partners with a student union or organization with a cultural focus to host an event Members attend a workshop/program on an unfamiliar culture/background Chapter attends/hosts a program on how to develop inclusive environments Chapter attends/hosts a program/event/course on gender/sexual identity and/or sexual responsibility Chapter understands accessibility needs and incorporates as needed Chapter respects cultural differences within its own practices (i.e. during ritual)

Suggestions for Plans Chapter hosts a philanthropy event for their adopted organization/cause Chapter has no judicial issues 100% of chapter is registered to vote Chapter is educated on political issues Chapter implements at least one energy efficient practice (e.g., lighting) Chapter adopts a local cause and participates in three community service events with the organization Chapter has political info/voting info available Chapter has a recycling program
